Two Army soldiers reportedly had to relocate their Hawaii wedding over the weekend so the commander-in-chief could play golf.
Bloomberg reports that the Army captains, Natalie Heimel and Edward Mallue Jr., had planned to get married at the 16th tee box at Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course, on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, on Sunday.
But just as they were finishing their wedding rehearsal on Saturday, they were told they’d have to move — to accommodate the president’s round the following day.
“It was emotional, especially for her — she’s the bride and in less than 24 hours they had to change everything they had planned,” Mallue’s sister Jamie McCarthy told Bloomberg.
I wish someone would publish an address to which we could send cards or gifts to the couple. It’s the least we owe them.

Richards, a 2005 USA Fencing Hall of Fame inductee who hailed from Boston, was hospitalized during the USA Fencing National Championships in Anaheim in July and was later transferred to a facility in Las Vegas.
Richards’ family, including his son Mark, daughter Karen and former wife Carla Mae Richards, were at his side on Sunday.
A foil fencer at the 1964 Games, Richards won back-to-back National titles in 1962 and 1963 and also represented Team USA at the 1959, 1963 and 1967 Pan American Games where he won two golds and a silver medal in team competition.
After retiring from competition, Richards served as a fencing coach at several universities, including Boston University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Air Force Academy.
A Maitres d’Armes, Richards was a member of four Junior World Championship Team coaching staffs and most recently served as a coach at the Fencing Academy of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Richards also was an accomplished referee who was rated in all three weapons and was honored with the Fencing Officials Commission Distinguished Service Award in 2004.
“Ed was a great fencer, a great referee and also a great friend of USA Fencing. He served as a mentor and role model to many of us as we were coming up through the ranks and will be dearly missed by all who knew him,” said USA Fencing President Don Anthony.
In his memory, the Fencing Academy of Nevada will be holding the Maestro Richards Memorial New Year’s Open on Jan. 1 with plans to make the tournament an annual event.

For years now, Navy officials have been boosting a new technology, the railgun, as an ideal next-generation piece of artillery for America’s ships. But there’s good reason to believe it won’t live up to the hype — and that it may be the U.S. military’s next billion-dollar blunder that never pans out.
New weapons systems have a terrible track record, especially within the Obama Regime. Spend billions, talk it up as the best thing since sliced bread then cancel the program. After the consultants and the lobbyists have gotten their piece of the pie. Will Railguns ever be deployed. I doubt it. One of the unspoken attributes that make this different from previous weapon systems is that the ships would have to be designed and built from the keel up specifically to support this weapon.
WWII, the ships that were built in the twenties, thirties or even earlier; could be retrofitted with the new and important military tech of the forties. Radar, anti-aircraft rapid firing guns, degaussing; all were incorporated into the earlier ships already build. But the ships that would deploy the railguns and lasers of the future must be build with power plants that can produce gigawatts of electrical power. That fundamental change does not serve the needs of the Navy so much as the consultants and a few favored industries. GE, the Obama administrations favorite company due to its campaign contributions is a sleazy example.
Then there is the Tomahawk missile, a mature, versatile and highly successful program that the same administration is attempting to destroy. New purchases of the Tomahawk are already curtailed and it is the stated objective of this administration to have zero Tomahawks in inventory by 2016. Even through we have already launched a next generation Navy Destroyer (USS Zumwalt) that relies solely on that missile as it’s offensive punch and we are currently building three more at three to four Billion dollars each.

The man who waterboarded Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the so-called mastermind of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, told Megyn Kelly on Tuesday that the CIA’s program of using enhanced interrogation techniques did not amount to torture, despite recent accusations in a Senate-issued report.
“If it was torture, I would be in jail,” James Mitchell said on “The Kelly File.” “This thing was investigated over and over. I was told by the highest law enforcement agency in the land that we were going to walk right up to the edge of the law, and that all of the things we had included in that list were legal.”
“Not Illegal”. That’s nice, but I don’t care. Most Americans who watched the towers fall don’t care.
“(The CIA) had ongoing information to suggest that (terrorists) were trying to smuggle nuclear weapons into the U.S.,” Mitchell said. “There was all this anthrax stuff going on, there was credible evidence to suggest that there was another wave of attacks coming and we couldn’t have it happen.”
Mitchell added: “They tried to decapitate us last time, they tried to destroy our civilization. And people were clamoring to do everything and anything they could that was legal, to take it right up to the line and save American lives. Because that’s what our government is supposed to do: save American lives.”
Mitchell, who said he found waterboarding “repulsive at times” but said he did it out of a duty to protect the U.S., criticized the Senate report, saying it’s “easy” in hindsight to second-guess the tactics used after 9/11, more than 13 years after the attacks.
“In my view, the CIA analysts and the CIA targeters are incredible,” he said. “To do this, to besmirch them, I think, is beyond the pale.”
“Beyond the Pale” is an phrase that harkens back to Ireland and it’s rule by the English. It is an geographic term originally, the Pale was the land bordering Dublin and within that area English Law and only English Law had authority. The area outside (beyond that) was old Irish law. Some old Irish laws were easier and more lenient. But some old Irish laws regarding treason and murder were harsh, and rightfully so. Later, during “The Troubles”, the Irish strove against the British Empire for independence and their brutality and murderous resolve was again called “Beyond the Pale” by their enemies and most of Europe.
It’s not that acting beyond the pale is acting without law, but acting under a different set of rules and principles while still under control. The Islamic terrorists are not following our laws or conducting themselves as any type of legal combatant we would recognize. They are truly beyond the pale. But they have an leadership and they mainly follow their religions guidelines (such as they are..) and they are supported by the majority of their own peoples. I think that anyone who has been interested in reading this blog is probably someone who understands that the historical truth that Americans and Europeans have been subjected to truly hideous tortures and cruel death at the hands of this current crop of savages as well as their forefathers going back for centuries. To someone who understands this, then the ridiculous and hysterical shrieking by the media and the opportunists is sickening.
We have now been conducting this war against Islam (yup, against Islam. I said that…bite me.) for thirteen years without ever taking the gloves off and really fighting this generational enemy as we should have. After squandering so much wealth, a lost decade and losing so many lives playing at being gentlemen; perhaps it’s time we took off the gloves and met our enemy where the fight is.

Following the Eric Garner verdict, New York cops can look forward to having their heads examined for “unconscious bias” by federal thought police unleashed by Attorney General Eric Holder.
The NYPD can expect to undergo the same kind of “de-biasing” training that Holder put departments in Seattle, New Orleans, St. Louis and several other cities through while investigating them for alleged civil rights violations.

The Justice Department’s unprecedented shift from prosecuting intentional discrimination to investigating unconscious or “implicit” bias began long before Ferguson, Mo. It’s part of a “racial justice” movement launched by the Obama administration to “reform” the criminal justice system.
In the past five years, Holder has more than doubled the number of police department probes compared with the previous five years, opening more than 20 investigations and pressuring 15 consent orders to stop “biased policing” and other alleged violations.
Justice is justice, there is no such thing as “racial justice”. What Holder has really been promoting is Tribal Primacy. Out of Africa justice.
In Las Vegas, police have banned patrol officers from touching African-American suspects during foot chases. Only partners uninvolved in the chase can step in and use force to arrest the fleeing perp.
In Fayetteville, NC, where Justice started retraining cops in October, searches of black suspects are no longer allowed — even when the suspect gives consent. “Hot-spot” policing in high-crime neighborhoods is also considered biased against blacks.
