Tax Day is delayed in Massachusetts.

Most don’t know why.

We don’t teach History anymore. Today I was at my PT for spinal, I asked the young therapist if she knew why the race in Boston is called the “Marathon”. She didn’t so I talked to her for five minutes about the Persians, the Greeks, and the battlefield of Marathon. And of an Athenian runner named Pheidippides. We were twenty miles south of Boston. Boston, the “Athens of American”.
Patriots Day should mean something more than, no trash collection, delayed one day.

As the Whigs failed to stand against the Democrats on the issue of slavery in the territories and quickly dissolved as a national party. So I hope that the many and repeated failures of nerve, vision or perseverance will as quickly lead to the modern Republicans falling away in favor of a new party that will be ready, willing and able to attack the ancient enemy.
The Anti-Democrats has a nice ring.

The Anti-Slavery party would have a certain truth to it, because universal slavery is where we are heading. To strong?
Then, Anti-Federalists. I hated Al Qaeda, but never feared them. Because they lacked the ability to cause any real damage to my country. But I fear the Federal Government which has already caused great damage to the country that I grew up in and could destroy me in a moment.
The Patriot, Freedom, Liberty, etc. Party seems pretentious and too likely to be successfully co-opted by shadow Acorn affiliates.

Better to pick something that the other side would never abide to shelter under. I kind of like, The Churchill-Reagan Party.

But the Republican Party is clearly spent, and we must move quickly. or else this question will be decided on a battlefield in the near future.

Then I decided to create (photoshop) an appropriate party banner (see above) and that was fun.

Now the first objection I expect to hear is that Winston Churchill wasn’t born in the United States.   Well, hello!  He isn’t running for president since the more important objection is that he’s dead.  As is Ronald Reagan.

And Sir Winston is by birth, half American. Which has to be better than born with one toe only on the bag.  Winnie was raised within the precepts of Western thought and law. None of this “..Call to prayer is the most beautiful sound..” B.S.

As a symbolic party animal, no farmyard beasts, no over-stuffed hay-burner.  A pair of Lions of course.

Addendum: No this isn’t about promoting a third party.  Third parties are anathema, I’m quite aware that the Democrats use bogus third party candidates all the time to steal elections. To be clear, I’m praying for a repeat of 1856-1860 and the quick and complete dissolution of a failed party from which should spring a new and rededicated child, a dragons tooth child. Full formed and armed for battle.
