As I’ve said before, USA/Enema, MA/The Tube.

Outrage after (Massachusetts) woman flashes middle finger at Arlington National Cemetery and posts photo to Facebook to brag about it

I wonder if this piece of shit is a Kennedy? Comes from Cape Cod you know.  I hate my state.  For the umpteenth time, if the United States ever gets an Enema, Massachusetts is where they are sticking the tube.

Don’t you love the fact that you have to find out about this from an British newspaper?

Ann Coulter, she’s hot and I totally agree with her…

Demographics is destiny

I’ve been screaming about this for years…

Under Teddy Kennedy’s 1965 immigration act, our immigration policy changed from one that replicated the existing ethnic population to one that strictly favored unskilled immigrants from the third world. Since 1968, 85 percent of legal immigrants have come from what is euphemistically called “developing countries.”

We can’t admit computer scientists from Spain fleeing their failing socialist nation because we have to make room for a recent Senegalese immigrant’s brother-in-law with no skills but great needs.

A Four Hour Trip, a four hour trip…

Got free of all my entanglements today, so I went on a long November paddle.  Tonight I’m too pooped to do much photo editing, but glancing through the images I liked this one.

Have anyone wondered why I often shoot the same scene again? One reason is that with photography, different light, different angle and different day and make a big difference.

The day started sunny, after turning around and heading back the clouds had rolled in and were passing overhead, but at this point a narrow wedge of late fall sun shone through a gap in the clouds and traveled quickly down the river valley. I missed a shot when the light passed over a grove of trees at the border between the forest and the marsh, the trees still had some red and yellow leaves that shone as the band of light passed over them. The rest of the forest and the marsh were still dark, the contrast was striking. But I couldn’t get the camera turned on and ready in time.  So I waited for the above shot and the light from the sun, low in the sky (very warm but not strong enough to wash any color out) played over this willow.

More tomorrow… Continue reading

The Tide is High.

Very High.  I haven’t checked yet to see how it stacks up in the record books but it’s definitely higher than I personally can remember.  Normal high tides are 8 to 10 ft. (Tide heights today; Cohasset 11.38 ft, Scituate 11.75 ft, and Hull 12.37 ft)

And know what? I’m NOT going out today…

Why all the Sea Gulls? Well the surf and tide dumps a lot of dead eatable stuff on the beach…

Mill Wharf in Scituate you need a kayak to make your dinner reservation…

Tide, not waves or rain. The harbor is higher than the parking lot.

Lighthouse Point, park somewhere else Dad…

Cohasset, between Atlantia Restaurant and the bridge…

Inches to go. That curb is higher than the road.

Road to CYC.

A couple of nice, fall shots unrelated to the tides or water…

Cold (35 degrees) stiff wind (and nipples) in short bracing, very bracing. Continue reading

The Tea Party

The Great and powerful OZ Tea Party…

During the late unpleasantness, i.e. the 2012 election, several commercials put out by Democrat’s fingered the Tea Party (organization) as the power behind all the starving children, the terribly underfunded schools, Global warming climate change and dandruff.

One local incumbent in the MA House, thundered that the Tea Party was so afraid of his work defending the poor and the illegal undocumented recently arrived Americans that they had endowed his Republican opponent with One Million Dollars to defeat his just efforts.

Funny that? I can’t find a Tea Party Headquarters, neither locally or nationally, and scanning the news I can’t locate any speeches or press releases from Tea Party central or by their President, Chairman or even the night janitor.

Of all the many, many MANY requests and demands for money the last few years the one group that hasn’t hit me up was the Tea Party.  I wonder where they got a million dollars to give that one Republican running against the Mobbed up Rep. (yeah, check out Massachusetts Rep. John Tierney, even the liberal Boston Globe endorsed his opponent)

Truth is though I have met a lot of people who are with and support the Tea Party, they are exactly like me, tired of the waste and theft in government. They think they have been Taxed Enough Already and want politicians to use the huge sums that they already are stealing getting more wisely. We don’t have a building, or even a clubhouse. Some of us do pay rent on a bar-stool though.

I think someone is getting it backwards, the Democrats are the ones with the big offices and buildings in every state, they and the Republicans have done a very poor job of spending the peoples money. They are the causes of poor job growth, bad schools and class hatred. They are the ones that just bought or stole this election.

The sole goal those of us who adhere to the common goals of the Tea Party was to try to promote better candidates.  We desperately want better choices than we have been getting. Can you blame us?
