Remember the coffee shops that wouldn’t serve customers wearing TRUMP/MAGA hats? I do.
Remember the restaurants that allowed Republican politicians to be harassed and assaulted while trying to have a meal? I do.
Today.
Poll: 80% of NYC eateries unable to afford rent
According to new data, New York City eateries are suffering major financial hardship due to ongoing coronavirus shutdown orders. A recent survey showed 80% of restaurants in the city were unable to pay their full month’s rent in June, while 36% failed to pay any rent at all.
Mayor Bill de Blasio took time from the important task of painting “Black Lives Matter” on the street in front of Trump Tower to extend the date for restaurant reopening again. Following the stunned and horrified response from the restaurant owners and many citizens of NYC (most of whom can’t cook for themselves) the Mayor had these calming words:
“Indoor dining is delayed, but we will continue to work towards recovery,” he said. “The greatest restaurant city in the world will find a way.”
While food establishments have been allowed to serve carryout and provide outdoor dining, owners argued this does not bring in enough profit to cover their expenses. Many restaurants have been forced to close their doors for good.
But New Yorkers, look on the bright side! After the city laid off over a thousand police officers and cut the police budget by a Billion dollars, thanks to the mayor you won’t have to worry about criminals stealing your money… you won’t have any.
Do I feel any sympathy for the citizens of NYC? Remember this?
NYC could burn to the ground and I wouldn’t shed a single tear. Who voted for Comrade de Blasio? Not me.

I understand that due to low turnout, he was last re-elected with 25% of the vote. So most of the people of NYC could also say “I never voted for the bum!”. Or anyone else, to their shame.
