A period of Bad Government cannot be endured without Bourbon!

Kentucky distillery warns of a bourbon shortage

Bourbon is certainly having its day.  As small-batch distilleries churn out the every increasingly popular spirit, keeping a steady supply on the shelf appears to be getting harder.

Now, the well-respected Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky–makers of Blanton’s, Buffalo Trace and hard-to-find Pappy Van Winkle –is warning of a bourbon shortage in the coming months.

“Bourbon whiskey consumption has been on a roll, and Kentucky’s bourbon distilleries are struggling to keep up with demand,” Kris Comstock, bourbon marketing director, said in press release this week.

Boy Scouts embrace their enemies and push away their friends.

Boy Scouts approve plan to accept openly gay members

RykanV-burningman-P

Progressives next demand is that both Girl and Boy Scouts replace “militaristic” uniforms.

You can’t deny that this is a big, high-profile, win for the Progressives. It is a failure for Conservatives in this country who could not or would not provide enough support to the Boy Scouts of America to prevent this from happening.  It is the fault of the many American companies and even churches that withdrew funding and access to necessary meeting spaces all over the country.

It is (I think) the end of the Boy Scouts. I believe that they will soon learn that the many loud and hectoring voices from the left that have persecuted them without mercy or pause for years, will (now that they have forced the BS to abandon their values) use them for public theater for a while and then ignore them. The left has no interest in teaching useful skills to our youth, certainly not skills in hunting and camping.  How to tie knots, Bondage Knots only. Fire starting only if the intent is to burn down a condo project.

Many of those who have in the past supported the Scouts will turn away, some in disgust at the cowardice, some fearing to volunteer to associate with groups of young boys that might include emboldened deviant boys looking for a pat on the ass.

Disgusting.

Have camera will photoshop!

Left early to beat the traffic on my way to the Plymouth New Beginnings meeting (Widowers).

Stopped in Duxbury and Plymouth to capture some images…

Without a jetty, the sand will drift across the access to the water, estimate two to three feet of sand. No powerboats getting out of here except at high tide.

They would have done anything, literally anything, to re-elect the Monster.

IRS tea-party bloodbath continues in Congress, as evidence emerges that IRS’s own internal probe ended in May 2012, six months before election, but was hidden from legislators

‘Just yesterday the committee interviewed Holly Paz, the director of exempt organizations, rulings and agreements, division of the IRS,’ Issa said. ‘While a tremendous amount of attention is centered about the Inspector General’s report, or investigation, the committee has learned from Ms. Paz that she in fact participated in an IRS internal investigation that concluded in May of 2012 – May 3 of 2012 – and found essentially the same thing that Mr. George found more than a year later.’

Bodies tossed into the sea will, after the bloating effects of corruption have done their work, rise again and fill the air with their stench.

Seven months too late.

Benghazi, Sept 11th…survivors actually hidden from sight (and threatened for good measure).

Where’s the goddamn Stevens Autopsy???!!!

Obamacare, The real costs of it’s provisions hidden and legislatively set to trigger after the election.

Gosnell Trail, ignored and AG Holders connection to clinic still obscured.

Dare to dream…

Small Modular Reactor (SMR) by Westinghouse

225MW

tiny-reactor-0513-de

On the tail of getting the go-ahead from the federal government to build the first new nuclear reactors in the U.S. in over 30 years, Westinghouse is aiming small. This year the company will start fuel tests for its Small Modular Reactor (SMR) in Columbia, S.C. With an output of 225 megawatts, the SMR is considerably smaller than traditional reactors and can be built in pieces and assembled on-site. All the critical parts fit within the 89-foot-high containment vessel, unlike full-size reactors, which can reach upward of 250 feet. The safety mechanisms differ too: Instead of relying on electromagnetically triggered control rods in a meltdown, the SMR uses natural convection and condensation—which don’t depend on electricity to work—to cool down. Plus, the SMR sits underground to minimize damage if radiation is released. Westinghouse must still get approval from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, which the company hopes for in 2014.

When I look at that shape my mind sees a crew compartment on top, and ION engine nozzles on the bottom.

Built in space and aimed at the stars! (well not really, too slow) At the least she would open up the exploration and development of the Solar System to mankind.

Name?   The “Heinlein”.  Natch!

Olive Oil 101: How to choose oils with the most health benefits

“When you taste a really, really great olive oil, you might notice a peppery finish build in the back of the throat – this tingle,” Coleman said. “And what causes that is oleocanthal, which is an antioxidant.  The more of that peppery burn you feel, the higher the presence of antioxidants in the oil and the healthier it is for the body.”
