The Saint

Saint Nancy

Last Saturday afternoon in Washington, D.C. an aide to Nancy Pelosi visited the Bishop of the Catholic Cathedral in D.C. He told the Cardinal that Nancy Pelosi would be attending the next day’s Mass, and asked if the Cardinal would kindly point out Pelosi to the congregation and say a few words that would include calling Pelosi a saint.

The Cardinal replied, “No. I don’t really like the woman, and there are issues of conflict with the Catholic Church over some of Pelosi’s views.” Pelosi’s aide then said, “Look, I’ll write a check here and now for a donation of $100,000 to you if you’ll just tell the congregation you see Pelosi as a saint.”

The Cardinal thought about it and said, “Well, the Church can use the money, so I’ll work your request into tomorrow’s sermon.” As Pelosi’s aide promised, Nancy Pelosi appeared for the Sunday worship and seated herself prominently at the forward left side of the center aisle. As promised, at the start of his sermon, the Cardinal pointed out that Ms. Pelosi was present.

The Cardinal went on to explain to the congregation, “While Ms. Pelosi’s presence is probably an honor to some, the woman is not numbered among my personal favorite personages. Some of her most egregious views are contrary to tenets of the Church, and she tends to flip-flop on many other issues. Nancy Pelosi is a petty, self-absorbed hypocrite, a thumb sucker, and a nit-wit. Nancy Pelosi is also a serial liar, a cheat, and a thief. I must say, Nancy Pelosi is the worst example of a Catholic I have ever personally witnessed. She married for money and is using her wealth to lie to the American people. She also has a reputation for shirking her Representative obligations both in Washington and in California . The woman is simply not to be trusted.”

The Cardinal concluded. “But, when compared with Hillary Clinton, Ms. Pelosi is a saint.”

The ‘bridge’.

There may yet be a “smoking gun” in the Florida bridge debacle, defective materials or somesuch, but the more we learn, the more it appears to be simple incompetence. And the incompetence appears to be the involvement of unqualified but diverse managers at the decision-making level.

It’s said the real purpose of the project was to distribute “Transportation Investments Generating Economic Recovery” funds to coalitions favored by the Obama administration. The bridge itself was to be a gussied up showpiece for diversity in the workplace, but otherwise a no-brainer. Fussy adherence to the “masculine culture of academic rigor” meant reinforcing “gender, race, and class hierarchies in engineering”, therefore didn’t matter.

What mattered was placing Diversities in conspicuous, high-paying positions, the kind that hold news conferences with snappy artist’s conceptions and laser pointers and say “disadvantaged” a lot. Which means decision-making without the chops to make them.

Robust design has redundancies and safety margins to compensate for substandard components or faulty workmanship, or plain bad luck. Decision-makers know and abide by those standards, they’re the load-bearing walls of the project. Said differently, an airliner may be well fitted to its purpose, but it can’t survive a pilot who does aerobatics and flies it into the ground.

There’s an old saying, “engineering projects are never really done, they’re abandoned in a usable condition”. An overstatement of course, it means chaos neatly organized is chaos nonetheless. But a project isn’t a morality play, nor does the process have to be graceful and charming, only results count. Project managers are as relieved as anyone when the final snapshot of such chaos, frozen as-is in the final minute, conforms to requirements in all its particulars.

Engineering project management is known as “the meat grinder” for its uncompromising nature. You have one task, you get one chance. It’s a pass-fail proposition. The Mafia was more lenient. There are no excuses. There is no forgiveness or understanding. There is no negotiable fuzziness. This is why The Diversity is generally uninterested in such work, and women even less so.

Those who do pose as project managers unfailingly become innocent bystanders when It All Goes Wrong, as if “best effort” and good intent exempted them from responsibility. Absolution is given before the dust settles, also unfailingly, and the search for an alternative guilty party begins. Nothing serious should ever be attempted with this arrangement. When it is, someone will have a pedestrian bridge in Florida to sell.

Next

More on Munilla Construction Management and the fatal collapse of the pedestrian foot bridge at Miami’s Florida International University. It appears the project was a federally-funded showcase for diversity in the workplace.

Construction Dive – MCM is an ISO 9001:2008 company and is certified as a minority-owned firm with the Southern Florida Minority Supplier Development Council.

Politico – FIU and the main firms involved with the bridge collapse, MCM, are as politically connected as they get in Florida.

Sandra Rose – The lead engineer on the foot bridge project is a female, Leonor Flores, who is a graduate of FIU. MCM hailed Flores and her all-women design team in celebratory social media posts on Twitter.com in the hours before the deadly collapse. But critics say simple mathematics would have prevented the disaster in Miami.

Reason – The pedestrian bridge … was funded with $11.4 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Transportation Investments Generating Economic Recovery program. The TIGER program has come under repeated fire for awarding money based on politics rather than merit.

Hope you don’t have any money in Tesla.

“Tesla, Without Any Doubt, Is On The Verge Of Bankruptcy…”   We estimate that Tesla will need roughly $8 billion in the next 18 months to fund operating losses, capital expenditures, debts coming due, and working capital needs. However, it appears that due to past SEC investigations and current investigations (which terrifyingly have not been disclosed by the company), it will likely be difficult for Tesla to access public markets. According to a recent analyst report, there have been 85 SEC requests for additional information and disclosures in the last 5 years. This compares to Ford Motor Company’s total of zero over the same time frame. This means that Tesla is pushing many, many boundaries.

Something different to worry about.

Overhaul of U.S. Telecoms Database Sparks Fear of Catastrophic Failure

Foreign firm handling overhaul cited for national security breaches

The national database, known as the Number Portability Administration Center (NPAC), handles millions of phone transactions each day. It is being taken over by a foreign-owned firm with a past of breaching U.S. national security clauses banning it from employing foreign workers, such as those tied to China. NPAC handles around 1.8 million phone transactions a day.

Ahead of the deadline, industry insiders have been raising concerns that iconnectiv, the firm responsible for handling the nation-wide transition, is not prepared to implement the switch, a situation that could cripple emergency services and interrupt cell service for scores of Americans.

The FCC Commissioners, all appointed by Barack Obama, are the same “Net Neutrally”  idiots and Globalist Wunderkind who have been making trouble and ‘off-shoring’ the products of American technical innovation.

Celebrities Hit the Streets to Support Student Gun Control March: ‘Vote Them All Out’

If they mentioned the part that “Gun-Free Zones” have played in every school shooting…
then I’d think that they actually cared about the children.

If they condemned the Obama Era (Dept of Education) plan to pardon young minority criminals for their crimes, a plan that kept returning the thugs to the schools to make life Hell for the other students…
then I’d think that they actually cared about the children.

If they demanded that any and all qualified and willing teachers, administrators and maintenance staff be armed and trained to carry within the schools…
then I’d think that they actually cared about the children.

But they don’t. They won’t. And instead, they fight against any and all reasonable and intelligent proposals that might actually someday save the life of the children.

So I know that all they are actually interested in is using this ‘Crisis’ as an excuse to increase their own power by whatever lies work.
Therefore I know that they do not care about the children.

Why we had the Parkland massacre…most important story of the year.

Why we had the Parkland massacre

Read the whole story from the link above.

I first read about this on a small (and slightly excitable) site,

https://constitution.com/school-shooting-plot-exposed-wont-believe-set/

And I thought it to far out to be true.

In the years following, youth crime in Miami-Dade and Broward steadily grew worse. An odd quota system developed, and once a certain number of High School students had been arrested in the county, leadership would make sure that other crimes committed would be excused.

I was wrong.  What’s worse this is happening all over Florida, and in many parts of the country including my home state of Massachusetts.  The truth is that what was behind the Parkland massacre isn’t guns, it’s race.  Specifically racial politics as driven by the Federal education industry and a unholy conspiracy between the Dept. of Education, local school administrators and local (Democrat) law enforcement.  The prize, more federal money given out to those school districts that ‘improve’ their statistics on disciplinary actions; suspensions, expulsions, actual police involvement including arrests and felony charges.

How to improve those statistics?  Simply, stop enforcing school and community discipline and the law.  If a misbehaving student isn’t suspended, that statistic improves.  If a student isn’t expelled, if the police don’t place the youth under arrest, or recommend a lawbreaker be charged with a crime (all to often a felony, usually assault) then everything is looking much better… Statistically.

Somehow in all this good news, no one every asked themselves what the effect would be on the character of the young people who were constantly being excused and repeatedly returned to the same school and classroom, no matter what they did.

Parkland School, it’s students, and community found out.  This is the deliberate reason that the shooter was repeatedly visited by the Sheriffs Dept and never formally charged.   Can’t do anything that might make the statistics look bad.  So this young man finally did something that got noticed.  And since he had never been charged with anything, his record was good enough to allow him to buy all the weapons he needed.

Read the full stories on both sites, linked above, and remember this…

This has been going on for years, all over the country (though mostly in the Blue States or counties), and there is going to be a lot more blood shed.

6 Reasons Your Right-Wing Friend Isn’t Coming To Your (the Liberal) Side On Gun Control

I’m going to print this one and pass it around, I recommend you do the same.

Best points…

I don’t want legislation that’s been emotionally manipulated into existence, I want legislation that is shown to actually do what it is intended to do.

But when we go down the laundry list of policy proposals after a tragedy it’s hard to consider them effective at preventing another tragedy when they wouldn’t have prevented the one that inspired them.

Evil acts don’t cancel out a law-abiding citizen’s rights.

After another senseless attack with it’s loss of innocent life, those of us on the right don’t feel less anguish for the dead or mutilated victims.  We feel it just as much at least.  But it has become more and more common for the media and even the people you know to hurl accusations at us; that we’re callous, blind to the suffering (caused by guns) or just plain stupid.

Dead children followed by posturing liberal politicians on every channel whose message isn’t really about the real problems or the true causes of the latest attack.

They really don’t want to talk about how the changes in how mental illness is treated or controlled is putting dangerous people out on the street.  They definitely don’t want to talk about reversing the worst mistakes made in the interest of “protecting the rights of the mentally ill”;  ‘confidentiality’ rules that prevent doctors from reporting dangerous minds,  replacing walls and locked doors with psychoactive drugs and sending them home with the ‘hope’ that they take them.

Joe Biden was the ‘Father’ of the “Gun-Free Zone”.  Need we say more?

Those politicians whose rant always has the same spiel, “Ban this” or “Ban that”.   Item by item, piece by piece, or bullet by bullet.  So that by now we know that whatever the current crisis is, their goal never changes.  The complete ban of firearms in the hands of the citizen.    So no.  We don’t listen to them.

The final word is in the last sentence of the article…

…try reading up on firearms, dumping anti-NRA talking points, and assume he or she (gun owner) is equally committed to preventing these evil acts.

Four feathers.

“A coward dies a thousand deaths, a hero dies but one. “

An armed deputy “never went in” to confront the shooter and waited outside four minutes as the Florida school shooting occurred, Sheriff Scott Israel says. The deputy was seen doing “nothing” on video footage during the shooting, the sheriff added.

Sheriff’s Deputy Resigns to Avoid Suspension After Failing to Engage Florida School Gunman |…

The sheriff’s deputy on duty at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School but failed to go in and confront the gunman has resigned.

Lets go full Israeli!

In 1974, Israel “passed a law mandating armed security in schools, [and] provided weapons training to teachers…There have been only two school shootings since then, and both have ended with teachers killing the terrorists.” https://www.israelnationalnews.com/Articles/Article.aspx/21714

Israel proves the NRA’s arguments

In reality, Israel’s gun policy is living proof of the arguments the American gun lobby has been making for years.
