As rioters continue to wreak havoc on Ferguson, Mo. in the wake of a police shooting that killed 18-year-old Michael Brown, facts continue to surface that cast doubt on the assertions being made by many of the violent protesters.

On Monday, results from two separate autopsies showed that Brown was shot multiple times from the front, contradicting some allegations that the black man was shot in the back by white police officer Darren Wilson….

A narrative that Brown cooperated with Wilson and was shot while surrendering has permeated much of the protest that is now well into its second week. Police reports, however, paint a much different picture of the events leading up to Brown’s death.

Local authorities confirm that the suspect was combative and attempted to take Wilson’s gun after being stopped on the street. Reports indicate that the officer was treated for serious facial injuries as a result of the altercation.

Those covering the story report that multiple witnesses verify the officer’s account.

Nevertheless, hackers decided to release the name of a man they claimed was the shooter and threatened to publish personal information about him before an associated Twitter account was suspended. Police ultimately affirmed the identity of the officer; and amid growing threats against him, Wilson was reportedly forced to leave the state for his own safety.

Adding further to the credibility of police reports are two sources cited by Gateway Pundit indicating that Wilson actually suffered a serious fracture — known as an orbital floor fracture — of his eye socket during the fight with Brown.

  1. Unlike the Zimmerman obscenity I have no intention of revisiting this story again.

We marks it in our book, and we draws a line through it, that’s it for him it is.

Just saw a post elsewhere, some sumbitch is suing to get the Gentle Giants records unsealed. Rumor has it that the Road Scholar had second degree moida charges on him!

    • Do you follow Vanderleun at American Digest? He brought up a painful memory when he posted about a terse political exchange he had with a friend who was on the other side of the Bush/Obama divide. I lost two good friends over a sudden and unexpectedly hot argument regarding the Zimmerman case.
On that story I posted about twenty times in varying degrees of outrage, disbelief and ironic humor. In the end, nothing was changed, nothing was learned. So I decided that I wasn’t going to go neck deep into the morass again.

On this story only two things are certain; the young man is dead, and if the shooter wasn’t a police officer he would have been in jail. On Day One.

I do!, I saw your post, and certainly felt the pain of the situation. Full disclosure: I grew up and lived in Mass until I was forty or so. Grew up lefty, big time, surrounded by it, family, church, school. I know you know, you live there. It simply wasn’t who I was. At 18, I shocked many by joining the military. But, I still went through the motions, married another lefty, kids, etc. Long story short, I was living in NYC on 9/11, having been divorced in the early nineties. I’d already been disillusioned earlier by Clinton and the first attack in ’93 and when that September morning came around, things changed for me. My tie in to Vanderluen and you is that in those ensuing years, I’ve lost nearly all my friends and a number of family members to my being “out”. I have two grown kids that still live up there, and when 2008 rolled around and the installation happened they were dismayed by my comments. My sisters, they don’t call…Only other “changers” (as neo at neoneocon puts it) on the web seem to share my experience. Even the person on the other side of the bed (my second wife) is still on the other side. About seven years or so ago, she asked me, “are you a Republican?” I replied with a question, “would it matter if I was?” Nope, she said and gave me a big kiss. We hardly discuss “matters” as such anymore. Sorry to have rehashed the matter.

        • Don’t worry about it, rehashing in this case is picking at a scab that is long gone. What this current system of government needs to start worrying about is when we STOP talking. The silence will be overwhelming.
