Friday News

Well, thats instructive. Yesterday I posted a news update with a link and comment on the military ban on troops in Afghanistan farting in the presence of the natives. Well, the hits on this web page went up 400%.

This is a Kayaking and Photography blog, and to fill in on the days I don’t get out on the water I compile news and interesting items from the internet. Personally I think the photos I publish are the best material I have to offer. Almost all of them are taken from a waters edge viewpoint on some beautiful stretches of water, sand, and marsh in Massachusetts. Of course, if I’d known that publishing links to stories about farts would be so popular I would have thrown away my camera and bought a microphone.

As Jack Benny would have said, WELL…

Libya: Lockerbie bomber ‘flees Tripoli with Col Gaddafi’

If you remember a earlier post, the British Government (of the former Liberal party) cut a disgusting deal that traded North African oil for this murders release.

For Marines in Afghanistan: be careful where you fart

“So here’s the news:  audible farting has been banned for some Marines downrange because it offends the Afghans.”

If I don’t get a comment from Doug on this, he must be dead.

Military Fart Ban Is a Real Stinker

Don’t we have a weapon already in the locker to cover this? I’m referring to the SBD (Silent But Deadly). Sheath Farts, Mark I.

Statistics du Jour

The
population of this country is 300 million.

160
million are retired.

That leaves 140 million to do the
work…

There are 85 million in school.

Which leaves 55 million to do the work.

Of this there are 35 million employed by the federal
government.

Leaving 20 million to do the work.

2.8 million are in the armed forces preoccupied
with killing TERRORISTS !!

Which leaves 17.2
million to do the work.

Take from that total the 15.8
million people who work for state and city
Governments. And that
leaves 1.4 million to do the work.

At any given
time there are 188,000 people in hospitals.

Leaving
1,212,000 to do the work.

Now, there are 1,211,998 people
in prisons.

That leaves just two people to do the
work.

You and me.

And there
you are,

Sitting on your ass,

At your computer, reading jokes..

Nice. Real nice.

Massachusetts Governor Patrick rejects Secure Communities following a series of Rapes and Murders.

Nicolas Guaman is a illegal alien, Guaman has been arrested many times; for burglary, assault and many other offenses. Secure Communities program ensures that illegal aliens are deported after the first offense. But when Guaman was released from jail his information was not passed on to the Federal Immigration authorities. Because the Massachusetts Governor doesn’t think that would be fair. This week Guaman killed a young man in Milford, MA. He hit  Matthew Denice with his car and dragged the screaming man a quarter mile behind his car. Then, confronted by the police, he backed up over Matthew’s still living body, which probably is when he killed him.

Governor Deval Patrick (D) made the decision that cost Matthew Denice his life. The governor was just re-elected. Even though his poll numbers were low and he was not very popular his re-election was assured by Republican divisiveness, massive out-of-state campaign contributions, and a shell game where a life-long Democratic hack posed as a third party challenger saying whatever was necessary to suck independent votes from the Republican candidate. Also, every TV news station and most of the states newspapers were solidly on his team.

I  call him “Obama-lite”, he is a unqualified equal opportunity lightweight that has been completely controlled by the majority Democrats in the legislature. He has helped complete the ruination of this state. And I’m very afraid that his re-election campaign was the blueprint for Obama’s re-election next year.

I think it means in these cases, “inconvenient” for the politicians.

If They Remake Dirty Dancing, Will They Take All The Jewish Parts Out?

I hate remakes. This post on a Boston Herald blog brings up a good point, if movies like Dirty Dancing are a time capsule of a time now gone will the remake have any interest in retaining that part of the original movie or we get a PC storyline of gays, illegal immigrants and global warming? The new director, Kenny Ortega, was the director of the worst movie musical ever made..Newies.  I hate remakes!!

Perry Plays Obama, Media Like a Fiddle

Perry does not campaign as Mitt campaigns, this is not a flaw. As I have seen elsewhere, Perry and Mitt jab at Obama, then Mitt starts to second guess himself while Perry hits Obama again. Why not? There are so many, many, many areas where Barry is vulnerable.

“The English riots: How British law fosters disorder.”

“Since at least 1953 the English government has insisted that citizens depend on the police for protection and not try to protect themselves. The Prevention of Crime Act of 1953 prohibited anyone carrying an article in a public place with the idea it could be used for protection if they were attacked. If discovered they are charged with carrying an offensive weapon.”

And burglars can sue for damages if injured on your property.

‘People Are Suffering from Radiophobia’

“Life expectancy of the evacuees dropped from 65 to 58 years — not because of cancer, but because of depression, alcoholism and suicide.”

Because of sensational news coverage people in areas suffering low levels of radioactivity suffer emotional effects far worse than any health risks from the accident. Thats one reason I don’t watch the MSM.

Worlds End in Hingham, MA.

Reposted: Hingham Harbor and Worlds End

The plan was to launch from Hingham Harbor and paddle hard to Hull Gut, then back, and do it in three hours. Got to be able to keep up with those younger guys. However, the chop in Hingham Harbor was eight to twelve inches and the wind was stiff and rising. Seemed like a good idea to traverse calmer waters. So I went around Worlds End and down into Hull. Cloudy, but no thunderheads in sight. Tide is perfect, launched an hour and a half before high tide, three hours out and back with the tide roughly the same height as when I left. NO HINGHAM MUD!!
