Kipling

It is of my opinion that we accomplished all our objectives in Afghanistan within the first year. Having punished the Taliban for their support of Obama and Al-Qaeda , pushed them out of power in the country, and enabled their enemies to triumph over them. We should have left. If we had done so, ten years ago, we would have gone on the record books as the first successful western government in its dealings with Afghanistan in modern history.

I agree with Theo, it’s going to end badly.

Last Stand - 44th Foot at Gandamak

The last stand of the 44th Foot at Gandamak, January 13, 1842, during the disastrous retreat of British garrison and refugees

“If you’re wounded and left on Afghanistan’s plains,

And the women come out to cut up the remains,
Just roll to your rifle and blow out your brains
And go to your God like a soldier.”

– Rudyard Kipling

How To: Excabulate Your Pondrefact

…but I’m in the Tech Union of Reporters and Drudges, (TURD) and I’m required to write “form factor” instead of “size” all over the place. Which begs the question; why doesn’t anyone know what “begs the question” means anymore, or how to spell “its”? And what’s with all the “quotation marks”?

it can come as quite a shock to realize that thieves have made off with your tailgate. It takes less than 30 seconds for a thief to snatch a pickup tailgate and replacement costs can amount to $1,000 or more.

Maker’s Mark reducing alcohol volume to stretch supplies of its bourbon amid strong demand

The producer of Maker’s Mark bourbon is cutting — likely permanently — the amount of alcohol in each bottle to stretch every drop of the famous Kentucky whiskey. The alcohol volume is being lowered from its historic level of 45 percent to 42 percent — or 90 proof to 84 proof.

UPDATE:LOUISVILLE, Ky. –  After backlash from customers, the producer of Maker’s Mark bourbon is reversing a decision to cut the amount of alcohol in bottles of its famous whiskey.

Rob Samuels, Maker’s Mark’s chief operating officer, said Sunday that it is restoring the alcohol volume of its product to its historic level of 45 percent, or 90 proof. Last week, it said it was lowering the amount to 42 percent, or 84 proof, because of a supply shortage.

“We’ve been tremendously humbled over the last week or so,” Samuels, grandson of the brand’s founder, said of customers’ reactions.

Double-Voting for Obama

After publicly boasting that she voted twice for President Obama in November, a left-wing Ohio activist associated with a George Soros-funded group claims she did nothing wrong by double-voting.

“There’s absolutely no intent on my part to commit voter fraud,” said Melowese Richardson, a longtime Cincinnati poll worker and Democratic activist whose unlawfully cast ballot canceled out a lawful ballot and thereby deprived another citizen of his or her right to vote.

Voter fraud, also known as vote fraud, election fraud, and electoral fraud, refers to the specific offenses of fraudulent voting, impersonation, perjury, voter registration fraud, forgery, counterfeiting, bribery, destroying already cast ballots, and a multitude of crimes related to the electoral process.

Having already incriminated herself in front of a TV news camera, Richardson said she’ll contest criminal voter fraud charges. “I’ll fight it for Mr. Obama and for Mr. Obama’s right to sit as president of the United States,” she said nonsensically.

People Pray, I Turn Up The Radio” – A girl

I have become better because of this blog.  The truth is I was going to get rid of the whole blog for reasons I won’t discuss.  When it came down to it and I had to think about it, I couldn’t.  Everyone who has our problems should know you are probably saving someones life right now.  Before I was writing on here I was in a room depressed all day every day.  I was miserable and I was writing, BUT I was writing to myself.  I was writing my deep dark personal thoughts to myself and it was scary.  I write on here because I am no one special, I wish I could be a hero, or someone famous but I am not.  I wish people would care about what I have done for this country.  I went to the VA and asked for help but they failed.

One of our boys. He went to war for America after 911, he served, he came home. He needs us. Visit his blog,
