Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded -- here and there, now and then -- are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as "bad luck." -- Robert A. Heinlein
I can’t call these cops heroes. They did what the were hired to do, what they were trained to do, what they were equipped to do, what they were expected to do. If only one of them had arrived, run into the building alone and taken on the shooter single handed that might have been heroic. But they waited till there was several of them then went in…heavily armed and in force. Effective yes…but hardly heroic. The did their job, did it effectively unlike the cowards in Uvalde. But this was not heroism in action. Calling this “being heroin” ratner than what it was….just doing their job makes it easier to offer up excuses for the times when cops fail to do ther job. This is what they are expected to do and it’s what we should require of them….always.

It has been established in law that the police have NO DUTY to protect.
These men performed in a professional manner, single officers going in might be killed without backup or doing any good, an uncoordinated entry could lead to friendly fire incidents.
I really don’t think you could expect the operation to have been preformed any better.
Now, why was the school so easy to break into? That’s a serious question.
