Kevin McCarthy is member of the ‘Swamp’. He betrayed President Trump during his term in office and sided wholeheartedly with the Democrats on branding the January 6th protests an ‘insurrection’.
Electing him as Speaker is the last nail in the coffin, I’m done with giving the GOP even token support. There is no national party now that we can work with.
Done is done.
If there is no expectation of regaining our hope of a return to the halcyon days of 2019, then perhaps it is better to relax and live the best life we are allowed for the time we have left. Try and ignore the sheer horror that is becoming the Biden years. Enjoy the best of what’s left to us and wait for the end, for nothing that burns through the wealth and health of the nation can go on forever. And what can’t go on forever, won’t.
So let the Republicans blunder on for two years until the Demons steal another election and install another fool in the White House while also stealing back complete control of Congress. And it will happen, because Kevin McCarthy is not the man to cause his friends the Democrats any trouble at all.
Nice of them to decide all this so quickly so we don’t waste time waiting for something to change for the better.

The left is large and in charge….and that left includes at least 90% of the GOP critters in Mordor On The Potomac. The ONLY way to end the destruction of America being done by the left is to destroy the country….Starting with the total destruction of ALL leftists. Nothing else will work. There can be no coexistence with the left. They won’t allow it. It’s us or them….to the death. And it’s high time the average American pulled their head out of their ass and accepted that fact.

I don’t know, Dan. I like to put more stock in mankind. I like to think we’re all capable of seeing the big picture, seeing that by continuing certain behaviors (the ‘leftist’-and some on the ‘right’), we can only see more destruction in the fabric of what makes up our country, the soul of America.
The way you put it indicates that the demise of America is a done deal-as long as there are people on the left who exist. I think that was something that Thomas Jefferson espoused in ‘The Federalist Papers’ (that a two party system would ruin America). I could be mistaken, but someone felt that way.
Yes, there is evil, but the right politician or person, could be the leader of a movement to bring out the best in every American. People would realize (let’s say, if they were guilty of name-calling) that the name-calling isn’t accomplishing anything other than risking the demise of their country; and I’m sure that there are many Americans who feel that the US has something worth fighting for.
Sure, there are ‘Americans’ who don’t feel that way; and these people do have decisions to make, but most of us want to stay here and fix!

Perhaps age has something to do with it, I’m at an old enough age now that I’m afraid I can’t envision my country pulling out of this in the time I have left.
First Obama now Biden have done and are continuing to do more damage then can be repaired or recovered from in decades. And the first thing that would have to happen is … stop digging.

As an American, you TAKE the life which is rightfully yours. Put your stamp on it, brand it as your own, lay claim to it. Defend it without mercy. Tell and show others how to do likewise.
