Governor Baker of Massachusetts will not run for re-election in 2022.

Recent polling has suggested that Baker could fare well in hypothetical matchups against the Democrats running or thinking about running, but he would also face a potentially bruising Republican primary because his relationship with the base of his party has frayed in the Trump era.

Baker did not support Trump during either of the former president’s runs for the White House, and Baker’s approval ratings are stronger among Democrats and independents than with voters in his own party.

I wrote Baker the Rino a blistering letter (real letter, stamp and everything) about six months ago;  so I’m taking full credit for this delightful turn of events.

But seriously, in my closing I requested that Baker change parties and run as a Democrat; because he are one.  Having the Changeling running as a Republican just pushes out an actual Republican.  One that might actually govern as a Conservative and a Republican should govern.

So, Goodbye Charlie!  Don’t let the door hit you on the ass on your way to Washington and a post with the Junta.

You put a lot more effort into that RINO than I’d have been willing to do. I made the mistake years ago of coordinating a meet ‘n greet for Pay for Play the first time they ran together. Yikes; in retrospect a Sophie’s Choice. I’m outa here come 2022.

    • Yeah, leave me to keep the lid on.
Can’t blame you. But bear in mind that the new ‘Infrastructure’ bills are stealing from the Red States to bale out the Blue, spreading the misery.
You wouldn’t know a local gun range that’s accepting members do you? I’m driving to the public range on Cape Cod to practice; $17 round trip at Biden’s gas prices, $25 per half hour at the range. And then there is the cost of ammo! But needs must when the devil drives.
      Good luck.

I only know of the Braintree Rifle & Gun Club. My brother and a buddy of mine belong there. I’d been intending to join (don’t know if they’ve re-opened membership yet post plandemic) but now that I’m fleeing the gulag I’ll find someplace in DeSantis country. Did you try them yet?

        • Their membership is still closed. Or at least they report that the orientation classes are not available. I’ve been there twice, since most of my previous experience was with revolvers, I paid for a firearms instructor to walk me through the paces with my new semi-auto pistol.
I’ve got a application in with Weymouth Gun Club, and waiting. How long? Shrug?
So right now, Cape Cod Gun Works. It’s public.
