From Borepatch, the difference between the temperature scales explained from a practical perspective:

Fahrenheit:

0° – You’re cold.
100° – You’re hot.

Celsius:

0° – You’re cold.  (freezing point of water)
100° – You’re dead.  (boiling point of water)

Kelvin:

0° – You’re dead.  (Absolute Zero -460 degrees Fahrenheit)
100° – You’re dead. (-280 degrees Fahrenheit, slower but still dead)
