“Real Time” host Bill Maher took aim at Democrats on Friday night for their renewed opposition toward Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, telling them that “going after a guy for what he did in high school” looks bad.
“Sometimes you have to do a fight even if you can’t win,”(Tim) Naftali said.
“But what were you like at 17?!” Maher shot back. “I’m just telling you what the politics is… People don’t think you should go back to age 17. It just strikes them as preposterous and by the way, it’s counterproductive for Democrats winning.”
What else are the Democrats in Washington DC up to? Washington DC’s plan to reduce sentences for violent felons who committed their crimes before they reached the age of 25 on the theory that the human mind is not fully formed until the mid twenties. Some rapists and murderers could be released after serving only 15 years of a life sentence, on the idea that they have now “grown up” and are no longer a threat to society.
Yet they will destroy a man’s life and career over unsubstantiated allegations that he misbehaved in high school and college over 35 years ago, even though he has had a distinguished career to date and everyone who knows him swears he is an exemplary man.
