NEWS JUNKIES — CHECK OUT OUR HOMEPAGE

Social distancing measures including face masks are suspected of causing young children’s cognitive development to drop by 23 percent during the COVID scamdemic, according to a new study.

Brown University scientists penned the study, in conjunction with the global consulting firm Resonance, collecting data from 1,600 children – and their caregivers – who have been enrolled in the study between the ages of 0 and 5 on a rolling basis.

The probe analyzed the cognitive development through infancy, childhood and adolescence, and looked at how average development scores in three key areas had been affected during the COVID era – with stunning results.

Salvation Army defends guide telling white people to apologize for racism

The guide, “Let’s Talk About Racism ,” created by the Salvation Army International Social Justice Commission and released earlier this year, recommended white people within the charitable organization “lament, repent and apologize for biases or racist ideologies held and actions committed.” It also told people to stop being “color blind” because it would allegedly ignore the things that God intended to be different among cultures.

If I had known that the SA had a International Social Justice Commission,  I wouldn’t  have been surprised.  I think that three bucks I put in the Christmas kettle yesterday is the last buck the SA gets from me.

Problem is that the SA was listed in my will.  Fixing that will take a visit to the lawyer.  But, it must be done.

They should have taken a clue from the Boy Scouts.  Go Woke, Go Broke.

On the Boy Scouts…

Democrat Charlie Baker strikes again.

Mass. Gov. Baker: Some Hospitals to Delay Unnecessary Procedures

Massachusetts Republican Gov. Charlie Baker on Tuesday signed an emergency declaration to delay nonessential procedures at some hospitals due to staffing and bed shortages.

The governor outlined in a press release that hospitals that do not have the capacity or staff for patients would have to delay nonessential procedures.

The whole reason the hospitals are having staffing problems is the ‘Mandated’ Covid shot that a lot, a whole lot, of medical professionals refuse to take.  (Ask yourself, why?)  Remove that threat and maybe the staffing shortages will go away.

I used to say that Charlie Baker is the best Democrat Governor in the country,  more and more I think he’s just like the rest.

Primary this guy if he runs for re-election next year, because we now have a good candidate  running for governor.

The level of media idiocy about this holiday is getting to me.

I don’t know about you, but I prefer turkey.  The other-other white meat.

Now about the Media…

Also…

MSNBC: Thanksgiving’s About White Settlers Who Brought ‘Genocide and Violence.’

Many of us are still waiting for white Americans to bring some value — still waiting for white Americans to match the mythology of Thanksgiving. Freedom, justice, equality, reparations for two and a half billion acres of stolen Native land — reparations for 246 years of stolen labor — reparations for stealing Native children. Stop the killing — it’s still happening. Stop the theft — it’s still happening. Return the land — match the mythology. Then, and only then, we can all be equally thankful. Peace.

“Bring some value…”

I guess feeding the world, antibiotics, The Magna Carta, The US Constitution, (painless) dental care, most of your children surviving to adulthood… going to the Moon… don’t count.

Fuck ’em,  Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks to the supply chain crisis I’ve learned more about the trucking and shipping industry than I wanted to know.

I’ve Been Driving Trucks For 20 Years, I’ll Tell You Why America’s “Shipping Crisis” Will Not End

BY TYLER DURDEN
SUNDAY, OCT 31, 2021 – 06:30 PM

Authored by Ryan Johnson via Medium.com,

I have a simple question for every ‘expert’ who thinks they understand the root causes of the shipping crisis:

Why is there only one crane for every 50–100 trucks at every port in America?

No ‘expert’ will answer this question.

I’m a Class A truck driver with experience in nearly every aspect of freight. My experience in the trucking industry of 20 years tells me that nothing is going to change in the shipping industry.

Let’s start with understanding some things about ports.

Outside of dedicated port trucking companies, most trucking companies won’t touch shipping containers. There is a reason for that.

Think of going to the port as going to WalMart on Black Friday, but imagine only ONE cashier for thousands of customers. Think about the lines. Except at a port, there are at least THREE lines to get a container in or out. The first line is the ‘in’ gate, where hundreds of trucks daily have to pass through 5–10 available gates. The second line is waiting to pick up your container. The third line is for waiting to get out. For each of these lines the wait time is a minimum of an hour, and I’ve waited up to 8 hours in the first line just to get into the port. Some ports are worse than others, but excessive wait times are not uncommon. It’s a rare day when a driver gets in and out in under two hours. By ‘rare day’, I mean maybe a handful of times a year. Ports don’t even begin to have enough workers to keep the ports fluid, and it doesn’t matter where you are, coastal or inland port, union or non-union port, it’s the same everywhere.
