Hopefully, more photography. Since the political landscape and prospects in this country are fucked.

In Iran you can vote for anyone for President so long as that person has been approved by the Ayatollah Khomeini. We Americans call that system a dictatorship.
Voters in America recently discovered that they live under an Iranian type of system and didn’t know it. In the primaries, voters participate in some sort of ritualistic placebo voting while party leaders select the candidates. In the general election, the richest and smartest of the elite use money and psychology to brainwash the masses into imagining they have independent opinions and that their votes matter. We call that a republic.
Everything was going fine until Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders ripped the cover off of the American system and showed it to be more illusion than democracy/republic. In a way, this is the first contested election in our lifetimes. And by that I mean citizens are trying to wrestle control from the big money interests driving the political parties.
Sanders probably has no chance. He will be super-delegated out of the nomination.
But Trump has improved his haircut and he started negotiating with Megyn Kelly for an interview. He also hired some campaign professionals who know what they are doing. You can stop wondering if he’s playing to win. He’s engineering his third act solution as we speak.
Thanks to social media, and Trump, America will get its first taste of real democracy. If it doesn’t work out, we can always go back to the Iranian model and hope for our self-awareness to diminish over time.
I’m not smart enough to know who would be the best president. But I certainly appreciate the richness of choice we have this election. We haven’t seen anything like this.

If you think my analogy about Iran is dumb, you should see my book.
Some may note the decreased output on my part on this blog. True. I’ve heard the same thing too many times, I’ve said (or wrote) the same thing on the same subjects too many times and for all that repetition the same bleakness is staring me in the face ever morning that I boot up the magic mirror.
Lighter Cheaper More Powerful Battery Changes Renewable Economics
Guest essay by Roger E. Sowell, Esq. Marina del Rey, California
It is not often on SLB that I use the phrase “game-changer.” Most things progress, if they progress at all, in small increments. This time, though, is one of those that deserves the phrase game-changer.
The innovation is the low-cost, light-weight but powerful battery developed by Nobel prize-winner Alan Heeger, PhD of the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB). The company is Biosolar . see link to http://www.biosolar.com
…
The battery, which is now patent-pending at the US and other patent offices, is expected to cost less than $100 per kWh (about one-fourth that of the best batteries today), to weigh less and therefore provide longer range to cars, to have a greater power density (power to weight ratio), have a faster charging time and much longer life. Another substantial positive is the material itself, made from common acetylene. There are no rare earths to mine and extract, no toxic residues. The halogen dopants are also common, cheap, and abundant.
Now coal fired power plants would be the perfect source of power to charge these new batteries.
Does this make electric cars a viable option? Time will tell.
Most people I know assume I simply don’t want solar or wind at all. No, what I don’t want is the Federal favoritism and subsidies that are doled out on a preferential basis to political cronies. Most of those ventures were nothing more than legally approved and protected con jobs to extract cash and most if not all failed; crashing and burning and wiping out billions in Federal guarantees and loans.
However, even this technology isn’t going to do it for wind and solar. No matter how perfect or cheap the storage technology; the bottom line is that wind and solar are too diverse an energy source and require too much area. They are and always will be a very limited and expensive energy source. If I lived on a island in an old lighthouse, then maybe. The birdkill from the wind turbine blades would be an protein supplement in that case.
If you can watch the whole thing to the end, you have a stronger stomach than I do.
From the article;
Mankind is stronger than womankind. There are simply too many differences between the sexes. Yet our society in its “infinite wisdom” seems to be smashing those differences.
Further, since mankind is stronger than womankind, women need to feel safe. And breaking down the safe space for a woman at her most vulnerable – while she is changing and dressing and showering outside the home – is insane. Her zone of safety, her right to privacy, needs to be protected at all costs.
So the laws that permit males to invade that space simply have to be stopped, and any law that has already been implemented must be repealed.
Enough is enough.
Those of you receiving these pictures in the U.S.A. and Canada.
‘Religion of Peace Demonstration’.
Why would anyone think that we should be at war with such nice, peaceful Muslims?!
You need to forward this one to everyone! These pictures tell it all!
Muslims have stated that England will be the first country they take over!
These are pictures not shown on American TV or in American Newspapers – WHY?!
(but were forwarded by a Canadian friend who thought ALL Americans ought to know!)
This just in………………………from France!
| There’s a particular photo that went around the world. That of the little boy lying dead on the beach.
It is true that the photo is very sad and makes you reflect on the distress of these people fleeing their country at the risk of their lives. Above, a photo showing some people walking to reach the final objective, to live in a European country. Even if this photo is making it around the world, only 1% of the people will notice the truth. On the photo, there are 7 men and 1 woman – up to this point – nothing special. But in observing a bit closer, you will notice that the woman is barefoot, accompanied by 3 children, and of the 3, she is carrying two. There is the problem, none of the men are helping her, because in their culture the woman represents nothing. She is only good to be a slave to the men. Do you really believe that these particular individuals could integrate into our societies and countries and respect our customs and traditions ? Semper Fi Doug |
Reckless was a pack horse during the Korean war, and she carried recoil-less rifles, ammunition and supplies to Marines.
Nothing too unusual about that, lots of animals got pressed into doing pack chores in many wars.
But this horse did something more…. During the battle for a location called Outpost Vegas,
this mare made 50 trips up and down the hill, on the way up she carried ammunition, and on the way down she carried wounded soldiers…
What was so amazing?
Well she made every one of those trips through enemy fire and without anyone leading her.
Here’s her story and short video clip of 3 minutes to prove where she was and what she did….
SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (WIAT) — Breana Evans was arrested and booked into juvenile detention on a Misdemeanor Battery charge. The 12-year-old girl was detained after pinching a boy’s bottom at her school.
Evans has stated that she does not know the boy — and it’s just a game students often play.
“I feel like it’s just stupid,” said Evans. “Just a stupid charge that shouldn’t have to happen.”
“Lord, lord, lordy, what has this world come to,” said Ray Evans, Breana’s father. “Kids can’t even be a kid.”
Breana was suspended immediately after the incident happened, but was not charged until the boy’s mother pressed charges.
According to the Florida State Attorney’s Office, if Breana Evans completes a diversion program, which includes classes and community service, the charge will be dismissed and her record will be wiped clean.
This country has gone insane.
And what kind of pussy is that boy to complain in the first place? Is the legal system lost all reason-ability if a minor commits a minor prank on another minor and gets a major smackdown intended for adults?
The other thing I can’t understand is why this story I first read on my tablet on Fox News was wiped.
North Carolina legislators, in a whirlwind special session on Wednesday, passed a wide-ranging bill barring transgender people from bathrooms and locker rooms that do not match the gender on their birth certificates.
Republicans unanimously supported the bill, while in the Senate, Democrats walked out in protest. “This is a direct affront to equality, civil rights and local autonomy,” the Senate Democratic leader, Dan Blue, said in a statement.
North Carolina’s governor, Pat McCrory, a Republican, signed the bill late Wednesday night.
The session, which was abruptly convened by Republican lawmakers on Tuesday, came in response to an antidiscrimination ordinance approved by the state’s largest city, Charlotte, last month. That ordinance provided protections based on sexual orientation, gender expression and gender identity, including letting transgender people use the public bathrooms that correspond with their gender identity, not gender at birth.
Parents all over Charlotte were livid that someone who is of a different biological sex than their child would be able to enter the bathroom with their child. The bill puts an end to this idiocy.
The problems with the GOP are the places where they mimic the Democrats; too many places, especially regulatory. In other areas their differences are as clear as the hand in front of your face protecting your henie.
When the US Government was trying to persuade the world that US beef was safe during the Mad Cow disease scare, they had presentations on the tracking system to identify every cow heading into the food chain. The place they were calved, the farm they came from, the feedlot they were fattened up on. All of it. On record. If an animal became or was thought to be sick then the meat and by-products could be located and pulled. There are millions of cows in the system every year.
Next question; where are the Muslims that came into the country whither by air or ground, who did they stay with, who are their friends, did they get jobs or is someone sending them money to live on while in the United States? Those questions can be answered about a very small percentage of Muslims. I think that’s deliberate.
Our government our rulers are more interested in the sale of ground beef than the safety and protection of Americans citizens subjects. I have very little hope that this next election is going to do very much to change that.
