Visa cuts off Gab and Free Speech!

Social Credit Score Is In America: Visa Blacklisted My Business and My Family for Building Gab

As many of you already know we learned last week that Visa blacklisted Gab and we are now unable to process credit and debit card transactions. We learned more information this week and I think it’s important that I share it as a warning for others.

It’s not just Gab that is blacklisted. It’s also my family.

In China there is something called the Social Credit System, which was developed by the Communist Chinese Party as a “national reputation system.” This system tracks the “trustworthiness” of individuals, businesses, and organizations. “Trustworthiness” here means total and complete submission to the Chinese Communist Party. If the Communist Party deems you to be untrustworthy, you are denied access to plane tickets, train tickets, opening and operating businesses, and more.

As of June 2019, according to the National Development and Reform Commission of China, 26.82 million air tickets as well as 5.96 million high-speed rail tickets have been denied to people who were deemed “untrustworthy (失信)” (on a blacklist), and 4.37 million “untrustworthy” people have chosen to fulfill their duties required by the law.

To most Americans this sounds horrifying, and it is. I now know from first-hand experience because this social credit system exists in the United States. While it may not be sanctioned by the United States government, it most certainly has been deployed by US corporations who today have in many ways more power, data, and control over our lives than our government does. Many of these corporations also happen to be endorsing and raising money for communist organizations, revolutionaries, and the domestic terrorists burning down our cities.

We were told this week that not only is Gab blacklisted by Visa as a business, but my personal name, phone number, address, and more are all also blacklisted by Visa. If I wanted to leave Gab tomorrow (something that isn’t going to happen) and start a lemonade stand I wouldn’t be able to obtain merchant processing for it.

Simply because my name is Andrew Torba.

If my wife wants to start a business she won’t be able to obtain merchant processing because she lives at the same address as me and would be flagged by Visa.

This is obviously very concerning. We have done nothing wrong. Gab is and always has been a legally operated business. We sell hats, shirts, and a software subscription service that unlocks new features on Gab. My personal credit score is in the 800’s. I pay my bills. I have a wife and daughter to provide for, yet we are all being punished and defamed because someone at Visa has it out for me.

We were told that Visa has someone camping on our website watching our payment processing. As soon as we get a new processor up they find out who it is on their end and contact them. They tell the processor that Gab is flagged for “illegal activity” and if they do not stop processing payments for us they will be heavily fined.

When the processor inquires about this alleged “illegal activity,” Visa tells them that Gab has been flagged for “hate speech.” “Hate speech,” is of course not illegal in the United States of America and is protected by the First Amendment. As I have written, it’s not real and I refuse to acknowledge it as term. Visa doesn’t agree with me.

The reason I share all of this is that I hope it serves as a wakeup call and as a warning. If they can do this to me, they can do it to you and they likely will.

Christians need to be especially concerned and aware of this. The Communist revolutionaries taking over the United States are coming for us all. It’s only a matter of time before the Bible is labeled as “hate speech” and churches start to experience what I am going through right now.

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Revelation 13:17

John: This is a fate that seems to fall to all the Conservative voices.  OANN is an alternate to ABC, CBS, NBC & FOX and all the national and local news outlets.  And yet they have been ostracized and excluded from covering the White House by it’s Press Corps.

We are fighting with one hand tied behind our backs and it seems every national bank, company or service that we keep going with our patronage is working for the other side.  Maybe it’s time to do something about that.

Coronavirus: COVID Deaths In U.S. By Age, Race

U.S. Coronavirus Deaths by Age

Here’s the coronavirus mortality data by age group:

As shown, deaths in young people (from babies to college students) are almost non-existent. The first age group to provide a substantial contribution to the death toll is 45-54 years, who contribute nearly 5% of all coronavirus deaths. More than 80% of deaths occur in people aged 65 and over. That increases to over 92% if the 55-64 age group is included.

One thing that is often forgotten is that people of all ages are dying all the time. Each year, about 2.8 million Americans pass away. The following chart shows the percentage of deaths in each age group that were due to coronavirus:

U.S. Coronavirus Deaths by Race

The following chart depicts U.S. coronavirus deaths by race.

The number that stands out here is the percentage of COVID deaths that occurred among Black Americans. Blacks constitute about 13% of the U.S. population but suffered 23% of all COVID deaths.

Risk of Death from Coronavirus: COVID-19 Infection Fatality Rate (IFR)

None of the above data answers the question, “What is my risk of dying from coronavirus if I get infected?” For that, we need to look at the infection fatality rate (IFR), which is the percentage of people who die given that they are infected.

While coronavirus is obviously concerning and a very real threat to some people (namely, the elderly and immuno-compromised), these data also show that the risk for the rest of the population is quite low.

They don’t have the right!

Tadeusz Kościuszko was born in Poland 1746. He spent his life as a military, both at home and in America, where he sided with the Americans, against the British in the war for independence.
Kościuszko strongly opposed slavery, and upon his death in 1817 all his assets in America was used to buy the freedom of black slaves.
In his memory, a statue was built in Washington in 1910.
In 2020 said statue was vandalized by criminal elements, claiming to fight for the rights of black people.

Elsewhere a statue of Abraham Lincoln was vandalized by BLM.  That statue was put up with money donated by former Negro slaves.  Sick of this shit yet?

Scott Adams has had a brilliant insight about the demand for reparations

From American Thinker

Scott Adams’s brilliant insight cuts through all this: the comparison isn’t between black wealth and white wealth in America.  Instead, the comparison must be the difference between blacks’ average net worth in America and blacks’ average net worth in Africa.  After all, the act of stealing blacks from Africa is the “but for cause” of all wrongs done to blacks.

Adams imagines a neutral space alien calculating reparations.  He informs earthlings that black versus white net worth in America isn’t the correct calculation:

“If I’m going to calculate the, let’s say, the theft from the black community, if you were to measure the theft — let’s say just theft — that this slavery was. In other words, you stole the productive part of their lives, etc., and you used it for yourself. So here’s the number I need: I need how does the average economic situation for the average black person in this country and then, to compare it, I want to compare it to the average life of a black African.”

And you say, “What?”

And the space alien says, “Yeah that’s the comparison. So, you want to compare what would happen to the average black person if they had stayed unmolested in Africa and there had never been a slave trade. Because that’s what you’re comparing to. Because if the people who were brought to America as slaves, and then their descendants, are doing much worse than if they’ve never been brought with slavery, then that’s the amount of reparations. That’s how much they lost is all the money they would have made if they just stay in Africa.

You know what the problem is, right? They would owe money to white people.

He’s right you know!

Got That Right!

There is still hope.

For their online graduation, a  University grad student was recording the national anthem in an empty park. A stranger walked by and asked if he could sing along. He happened to be an opera singer. This is what happened.

Spines of thousands…

William A. Jacobson is a Law professor at Cornell Law School.  Right now he is under attack for being an unashamed conservative; his future and his reputation are on the line.  I’m pasted the following in it’s entirety because I think it’s important and I have no idea how to express it in fewer words.  Read the whole thing.

“The spines of thousands are being strengthened by hearing of your fight” – A Supporter’s Message

William A. Jacobson

A Combat Tactics Instructor Pilot’s advice: “You are not alone. You can make a profound difference… Bow, kneel, grovel… you will dissolve into obscurity.”

There was a natural inclination, when colleagues and others at Cornell Law School twisted and distorted my words to try to isolate me and damage my reputation, to think it was about me.

Alinsky Rule 13. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

Once I went public with what was happening, and the isolation ended, it didn’t take long for me to realize that it’s not about me.

It’s about the dozens of students and many hundreds of others who have written to me, thanking me for speaking up because they can’t. And it’s for the millions of others who have followed these events on TV, radio, social media, and websites, and for whom the fear of a career-ending false accusation of racism is too great, so they are bullied into silence.

A consistent theme is that they are grateful for the people who are able to give voice to what so many are thinking, but can’t say out loud given the current political climate. I was shocked by the outpouring. Yes, I expected support in the comment section from readers, but nothing approaching the groundswell that occurred. Something is happening below the media radar.

This evolution in my thinking was captured in an email from a Combat Tactics Instructor Pilot, accompanied by the iconic image from Tiananmen Square. He heard about what what happening and sent his email of support, followed up with this note:

Heard you on Ben Shapiro’s show last night, and was so hurt and angry by your shared experience; a little voice inside me told me I had to write you, encourage you. The words wrote themselves as I started to type. It was like I wasn’t doing the typing.

Only today did I realize you are “THAT” William Jacobson, “That” Legal Insurrection. I listen to Mark Levin (my hero) when driving home from work. Mark Levin has mentioned you a few times in the past. Didn’t make the connection until today, I simply thought you were a fellow Instructor; being attacked and on the ropes, and hoped to encourage you.

Here is his email to me (personally identifying information removed).

Combat Theology – a Combat Pilot’s perspective during trying times

Don’t cave to them.
You are not alone.
You can make a profound difference.

Sir,

When you are in Combat; far from the target; there is rarely a shot fired against you.

When you are (Air Force term ) “on the Run In, to the OA” (Objective Area) that is when you know you are in the right area…  SAM shots, AAA gunfire…everything the Adversary has, comes at you.  Not solely to destroy, but often, simply attempt to distract you off target.

Distraction can lead to mission failure, as much as Destruction.

But, you are a warrior, you have trained your whole life for this moment, and you are on the Run In.

You are on the Run In, and you have Top Cover. People, Prayers, Angels, the Earth itself is a witness to your Courage. You will not die 1000 deaths; you will taste of death but once. The Top Cover overhead are like F15 Strike Eagles. You can’t see them, can’t hear them at 45,000ft; but the Eagles are there, and they will “Cry ‘Havok’ and loose the Dogs of War;” not now, but at the right time. To defeat the adversary when their tools, at their disposal, are the most effective. Not on your desires, not on your timing; but on moment when they know their weapons are the most effective; to protect you. ‘For the weapons of our warfare are divinely powered, for the destruction of fortresses.’

The spines of thousands are being strengthened, by hearing of your fight.

You are NOT ALONE.

Before tonight, I never heard of you. If you had equivocated prior to this point, you would have still been destroyed by the people who want you to pander to them; and you would have dissolved into obscurity.

But, you fought for righteousness. The rule of law, the Constitution and Bill of Rights. For the Ethos of Dr Martin L King, … you fight for Content of Character.

You stood, seemingly alone, in the breach.

But you are not alone. We are with you.

I am with you – Fangs Out and Full Speed, I am coming; and with you even now.

Bow, kneel, grovel… you will dissolve into obscurity.

Make them seemingly kill you; and the eggs and smears and brutality they throw at you, will be a mantle of Honor you wear into eternity.

Use their leaders and their words to defeat them. Fight like Sun Tzu, fight with asymmetric warfare; expose the rot they expound, with Frédéric Bastiat – the Law…. show their decayed ideas and words are NOT NEW: decaying and failing for the last 200 years; and being renamed, rehashed and repacked: Orwellian; Gestapo; Tribal and Animal Farm-brutal.

You stand, seemingly alone, in the breach. But you are not alone.

I am with you – Fangs Out and Full Speed. Dropping my external tanks; so I can gain extra speed, extra maneuverability; unguarding the Weapons Release switches. I am coming, a Warrior Poet, with an army of angels and prayers. Reaching Mach1, and the turbine blades in my engines glow cherry red, while the Tach gauge red-lines at 103%

I am coming. I am the prayers of strangers. I am the Almighty; who sees all and judges the Heart.

I put Daniel’s heart in the scales, to see if he would kneel to images of gold; but he chose lions; and therefore I was with him. I put David’s heart in the scales; to see if he would kneel to a giant.  Three small stones. Smooth and round. Symmetric, and elegant in their simplicity. The sword was too heavy, the armor too clumsy. David fought his fight, he won because he fought on his terms and didn’t fight the way the others wanted him to: friends and foe alike. I was with him.  Three smooth stones. He didn’t kneel; so I was with him.  I Am with you.

…and I’m with you as well.

Fangs Out and Full Speed,

LtCol X.

Combat Tactics Instructor Pilot; and your friend.

Blast from the past, via Sippican Cottage.

Sippican Cottage has started to recycle old columns from years ago.  Ten years at least I’d guess.  Complete with the old comments.

I’d forgotten about this one.

Anonymous John The River said…

Yes, parts of Boston are that dangerous. After all it’s another long-time Democratically controlled urban “paradise”. I’m very familiar with that station, never stopped there but I’ve seen it. It’s not that far from the spot where an Irish exchange student was hit in the head by a rock thrown by a teenager, he threw it because she was white and looked like the people from South Boston (Southie, think Whitey Bulger) who he hated, and who hated him right back. BTW, the Irish lass died.

As an Telephone worker, in the seventies, I had to work in that part of town. During the day, we all refused to go there at night. Many parts of Roxbury, which is what that section of the City of Boston is named, are quite nice with parks and beautifully designed townhouses built by Jewish and Irish families a century ago. The Irish and the rest moved to the North and South Shores, the suburbs. The neighborhoods and the brownstone and granite houses are not so well maintained now.

One day I was in Roxbury servicing a phone system at a small business. Going in I had dumped the tools out of the truck except my tool belt and some service parts and replacement sets. After going inside and finding the problem, I went back to the truck for a part. As I was bend over going through the parts bin I heard someone behind me. I turned around and found that I was surrounded by neighborhood kids. Most of them were five or six years old. They were all looking at me with enormous brown eyes. The oldest, ten maybe, said to me that their mother had instructed them to come back from the park at a certain time, but not to cross Seaver Street without an adult accompanying them. Without further ado or conversation, one of the children took my left hand (well two of my fingers) and another one took my right hand. Well, what could I do? We crossed the street. All the children stopped and carefully looked left then right and then we crossed. On the other side they let go of my hand, they all (in unison) said “Thank You” and walked away.

Why do children have to grow up? In eight or ten years would any of them be throwing rocks at a white face topped with red hair.  Like mine.

I haven’t thought about that day in a very long time.
