Alternative to “Go Fund Me”

At this point I think mostly everyone knows that “Go Fund Me” refuses to pay out to any Conservative cause or individual.   After over fifty thousand had been raised (quickly) for Kyle Rittenhouse’s defense, Go Fund Me closed the page and refused to give the money to the young mans defense team.

There is an alternative.

The webpage, called GiveSendGo, has collected over $526,000 at the time of publishing with nearly 12,400 individual donations to support the 17-year-old’s legal defense. The page surpassed its $500,000 goal on Monday, according to the New York Post.

Sometimes I have to refill the birdbath several times a day.  And not just during the Summer.

I do believe I shall take a plunge!

Shortly afterwards and after a quick top off from the watering can, The Robin Boys Club.

That’s why these guys go south for the winter, no baths for months!

Birthday week.

OK, I’ll try not to whine.

In my state they closed all the restaurants, except for take-out, two days before my girlfriends birthday, three days before mine.

After a embarrassingly low game last week at my bowling league, I practiced daily to get my average up from 64 to 86, with a high game of 97 (at great expense); league games are now cancelled indefinitely. (97 is a good score in candlepin)

We cancelled a flight booked on JetBlue; because we purchased ‘trip insurance’ we get ten percent back in cash, sixty percent in “Travel Bank” credit and lose the rest. If we hadn’t bought trip insurance, under the state of emergency, we would have gotten 100% back.

And I just renewed my gym membership, which is now closed.

I turn 70 on Thursday. As a friend from high school emailed me; “You were 20 in the Seventies; and 70 in the Twenties”,  Happy Birthday.

“Happy Birthday”… yetch!

Trump weekend in Massachusetts

A rally to support Trump in Natick turns violent. Police arrest a man after being called to the Town Common for a report a person was pepper-sprayed.

Not peaceful.  Mainly the assaults were committed against the Trump supporters; smashed smart phones, signs ripped and broken, threats and even a vehicle used in a threatening way.  Many of the anti-Trump protesters were high school age.  This is the price for ignoring what the Left has been doing to American education for decades.

In Weymouth, the Trump Rally went by without incident (as far as I can find).

Probably because it was smaller and is mostly white and middle class.   No Biden/Harris signs in town, and few BLM either.  Not many Trump signs for that matter, but probably because they get vandalized or stolen.  I’ve lost two.

In Texas there is a town called New Braunfels, where there is a large German-speaking population.

One day, a local rancher driving down a country road noticed a man using his hand to drink water from the rancher’s stock pond.

The rancher rolled down the window and shouted: “Sehr angenehm! Trink das Wasser nicht. Die kuehe haben darein geschissen.”

This means: “Glad to meet you! Don’t drink the water. The cows have sh*t in it.”

The man shouted back: “I’m from New York and just down here campaigning for Joe Biden. I can’t understand you. Please speak in English.”

The rancher replied: “Use both hands.”

Today I am heartened by:

1) The apparent nomination of ACB
2) The steady approval numbers of the President
3) The tightening of the race in key states (such as Michigan and New Hampshire), and states previously not considered key (such as Virginia)
4) The President’s incredible work ethic and drive, especially in contrast to Joe Biden who, by all accounts, is being forced to stay up every night from 9PM until 9AM, and then sleep during the day, to condition his body for the debate next week.

My greatest fear about November is the Democrat party’s willingness to cheat.
My greatest consolation is this President’s mad love affair with winning and absolute hatred with losing, especially by cheating. He is no pushover. He is no congenial loser. He is no McCain, no Romney.

He will fight and he will win.
