Crime in San Francisco.

Snehal Antani
@snehalantani

A teammate visiting San Francisco for an offsite called me frantically last night. After dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf they came back to a smashed car window and 2 stolen backpacks. $10K in gear lost, passports gone, etc. #SanFrancisco

The man running for DA in SF and former Police Commissioner responded.

Not Frank Reagan.  Odd response for a guy running for public office in a city that is seeing a mass exodus of big corporations from San Francisco due to the high taxes, high cost of living and out of control crime.

Especially directed at a tech entrepreneur who might be bringing billions in international and US Federal contracts to your city.

The tone of the message here was that this dickhead is proud of the crime in the city.  It’s a badge of honor.

    Another liberal brain donor. Needs to be made a victim of some REAL crime. He gets curb stomped by some vibrant inner city animal he’d change his tune real fast. Too stupid to understand that unchecked property crime ALWAYS leads to unchecked violent crime.

    From JOHN HAMASAKI’s website – And what’s one proven way we can prevent crime? Preventing poverty. That’s why I hope you will support our effort to enact, and sustain, a proven tool to ending poverty – Guaranteed Basic Income.

    • Guaranteed Basic Income has been a trope of SciFi stories for many decades.
      It’s usually paired with another word from SciFi, Prole. A word that replaces citizen.
      A Prole is a step below a slave, since usually a slave doesn’t volunteer to become a slave.

  3. Interesting development. The Jpeg image (used above) of the exchange of tweets involving JOHN HAMASAKI is being blocked on chat and conservative sites that use Disqus commenting.
    Comments that include it are stopped from posting and repeated attempts may result in blocking the commenter.

    We hit a nerve.
