On the North River 
I always used to feed my 3 cow dogs at 5pm. I swear, the smartest of the 3 knew when the time change would happen, both springing forward and falling back. She’d not get antsy until 5pm, be it standard or daylight savings time. It was an amazing thing to behold.
BTW, she was the only one of the 3 that was female. The two guys would just follow her lead.
