Who is this?

The rhetoric is noise, a tribal chant to keep its members in thrall and intimidate the neighbors. The prize is territory, always territory. It’s what they do. Territory endures. Territory can be protected and expanded. No matter how remote in time, prior eras are an affront in being, and so the reminders are torn down and the territory is immunized.
