So were there five American soldiers captured in Afghanistan in different places and in uniquely different ways or was it just one?
And which one of them was Bowe Bergdahl?
There was; the soldier captured while lagging behind on a patrol, the soldier who got lost and wandered into some Taliban, the soldier who went into the high grass to relieve himself and was captured, the soldier that left camp without approval after expressing disapproval of US policy in the mideast who might be the same as the soldier who sought out the Taliban in order to surrender/join them. Or they might all somehow be the same man. And is that man Bowe Bergdahl?
Is the man that returned the soldier that faced court martial proceedings for desertion, or (that overused word again) a hero. Is the disgruntled private the same man that was promoted to Sargent for no apparent reason.
If this man and his wife, far-left radicals, anti-western and firm in their belief that America has done no good in Afghanistan (and tellingly that all the internees at Gitmo should be released) influenced their sons desertion and by extension are partly to blame for the two soldiers killed five years ago in the hunt for Bowe then why would the President of the United States greet them with open arms, hugs and kisses? (OK, that one I can guess at.)
Why are we popping the champagne corks and holding homecoming celebrations while we still don’t know which man came back; the soldier or the viper in our nest.
