Why I’m Angrier This 9/11

Me Too.

Parents of SEAL Team Six member say unit endangered by Obama administration statements

“Aaron called me and said, ‘Mom, you need to wipe your social media clean of any reference to me or any of my buddies. Just disconnect completely,’” Karen Vaughn said her son warned after Vice President Biden publicly identified the SEALs on May 3, 2011 — two days after the raid.  “He [Aaron] actually said to me, ‘Mom, there’s chatter, and all of our lives could be in danger, including yours’ … then I realized all of those families, you know, you’re talking about a community of around three hundred families who were all of a sudden made targets by this administration.

Asked whether they could accept that the administration identified the SEALS because they were so grateful, Billy Vaughn flatly rejected the suggestion.  “No matter how proud they were of it, it was very unprofessional. The fact, they could have, the administration could have said special operators.”

Far from being his greatest achievement, the killing of Osama has provided a clear window into this presidents character and what can be seen (if you look) is a man that is heedless of other persons lives and national security if there is any personal gain to be derived from it.

India steps up TB fight as fears of drug-resistant strains mount

Some 130 years after the discovery of the tuberculosis bacteria, and more than 60 years after the discovery of antibiotic treatment, “we have managed by a combination of complacency and incompetence to allow this bacillus to mutate into a virtually untreatable form,” he wrote in the journal of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology.

We have been putting antibiotic’s  in cattle feed for Gods sake! What will happen after the drug-resistant form of TB is the prevalent one?

At its height two centuries ago, tuberculosis — or consumption, as it was then known — killed one in four Europeans, many in the urban slums of the Industrial Revolution, and consigned millions to slow deaths in sanitariums.

The big difference this time? We get to watch flat screen TVs as we painfully expire.

My grandfather died of TB he contracted in Boston in the thirties. After the Navy, unwisely, sent him to the South Pacific during WWII.
