YES!

YES, YES, YES! This!!!

Republican members of Congress have fresh sights set on the Walt Disney Company with legislation dubbed the Copyright Restoration Clause Act that seeks to level the intellectual property playing field by stripping Disney of its monopoly on copyright protection — a situation Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL) says came as a result of “special favors created by establishment politicians.” Steube introduced the House version of the bill this week, after Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) introduced the bill earlier this year in the upper chamber.

Specifically, the legislation will limit new copyrights to 56 years, the length of time that was upheld for most of the last century. The bill would make the change retroactive for entertainment giants including the Walt Disney Company that had special exceptions to maintain copyrights for more than 100 years. If the bill becomes law, Disney would start losing protection on its oldest copyrights, including the original Mickey Mouse, though there would be a delayed implementation for some license holders to protect pre-existing contracts.

“This legislation will remove their special privileges and even the playing field for all entertainment companies,” Steube said of the bill. “Disney has leveraged their privileges to conduct reprehensible work with the Chinese Communist regime, force sexual indoctrination on America’s youth, and most recently, aid the murder of unborn babies.”

Just desserts.

Refineries likely not coming back online under current conditions

The United States currently has the lowest number of functioning refineries capable of producing gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel that we’ve seen since 2016, largely as a result of government policies.

Since June 2019, 1.482 MMb/d of refining capacity has been rationalized in the United States and Canada. Approximately 590,000 b/d was damaged in storms or refinery incidents and is not eligible for quick restart. Another 237,000 b/d was shut to convert to renewable diesel production. Approximately 375,000 b/d may be eligible for recommissioning but likely will remain shut. The cost of recommissioning could be significant, and the timing of the recommissioning is likely too late within the current window of opportunity.

General market sentiment, our medium-term outlook included, is that the current high-margin environment will be fleeting. Recouping recommissioning costs will be difficult unless these strong margins are sustained beyond 2023. Refiners are unlikely to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in recommissioning costs for only one or two years of strong returns.

Bottom line,  the Oil and Gas industry doesn’t trust Biden, the Democrats or the Federal Bureaucracies.

The Government is seen as moving forward with a forced conversion to Electric only, but is only putting money into unreliable and expensive Green generating infrastructure.   And they’re not building enough to power the conversion to EV or home heating.

It’s them or us people, them or us.

Frustrated NYC detectives leaving ‘insane’ NYPD, have ‘had enough’

“That’s going to have a major impact on investigating crimes,” Detectives Endowment Association president Paul DiGiacomo said. “The detective squads are down now as we speak and are investigating more cases. It’s going to have an impact on public safety.”

So far this year, 250 detectives have retired, leaving the total number at about 5,600, which is nearly 2,000 less than two decades ago.

DiGiacomo, the Detectives Endowment Association president, said cops feel demoralized because of a lack of support from politicians.

“It’s simple,” he said. “Detectives are retiring in historic numbers because they have no support from politicians who care more about criminals than cops and the New Yorkers they protect.”

‘I’m Elon Musk, I’m Here To Rescue You,’ Says Musk While Busting Everyone Out Of Twitter Death Star Detention Level

Twitter Death Star, which resembles a small moon, was first spotted near the remains of Alderaan, a peaceful planet that was destroyed for believing in only two genders. The space station is equipped with a super blaster powered by kyber crystals, capable of canceling anyone who opposes Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal.

Musk reportedly disguised himself as a Twitter mod who was escorting a recently suspended free-thinker to a ban chamber. Once inside, he dispatched the guards and then rushed for the nearest cell to free the prisoner inside.

“Aren’t you a little short for a Twitter mod? Everyone says so,” said a grizzled Trump.

“Huh? OHhhh the uniform!” Musk removed his helmet. “I’m Elon Musk, I’m here to rescue you!”

“Who? Oh, you’re the guy that does rockets. That’s great. Really terrific.”

According to sources, Musk was able to free Trump, The Babylon Bee, Juanita Broderick, Alex Jones, Charlie Kirk, Tucker Carlson, and even some Rodians. However, during their daring escape, Trump was killed in a trash compactor while trying to post on Truth Social.

Musk and the Twitter prisoners reportedly escaped abord a SpaceX Starship. With Twitter Death Star in his rearview mirror, Musk vowed to either buy the deadly space station or destroy it.

“Why not both?” he mused to himself.

Dems Pause January 6 Hearings To Call For Insurrection

“On January 6th, a branch of our federal government was almost overthrown because politicians used dangerous rhetoric that caused—wait, hold on everyone, I just got the update. Roe‘s been overturned!” said Representative Adam Schiff. “Okay, well if all the Republicans could please sit tight, there will be a brief recess while our Democratic caucus takes to the streets demanding we overthrow a branch of the federal government.”
