Obama Unveils Proposal To Cut Carbon Emissions From New US Power Plants Amid Severe Backlash

The first-ever attempt by the federal government to impose limits on carbon emissions is based on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA’s, guidelines, which the coal industry says would render new coal plants uneconomical, and which promote carbon-capture technology that is unproven in its effectiveness.

“The EPA’s new source performance standard is direct evidence that this Administration is trying to hold the coal industry to impossible standards,” Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) said in a statement issued in response to the proposal.

“Never before has the federal government forced an industry to do something that is technologically impossible. Forcing coal to meet nearly the same emissions standards as gas when experts know that the required technology is not operational on a commercial scale makes absolutely no sense and will have devastating impacts to the coal industry and our economy,” Manchin said.

When the carbon fraud was first pushed on us I read the arguments and I didn’t buy it, it just didn’t make sense.  The very first mention of this theory about CO2 and already they crowed,“The Science is settled!”.

Well the science wasn’t settled, as the years and the scandals have rolled on it’s become obvious that this isn’t about science, it’s about money (great steaming piles of money) but mostly it is about control. Control of us, of the USA, of the world and especially of what really gets a leftist’s shorts in a bunch…Industry, business and the people who understand it and who run it. (Why do the wimpies and the greenies think that getting your hands dirty translates into harming the environment?)

Now we have a failed presidency, bitch-slapped back into his kennel by Putin this embarrassed narcissist is trying to get some lead back into his pencil by issuing orders that will hurt and weaken the useful members of society that he hates and fears. My question is; In What Possible Way is This Legal?  On a dark day many decades ago, short sighted man (Nixon, of all people) allowed the EPA to be created and over the years hand picked (and hopelessly biased) jurists have enabled that agency with powers and reach far beyond anything that could have been imagined in the early seventies. The purpose and goals of the CWA (Clean Water Act) have been far exceeded and used to excuse the waste and monumental costs on American businesses and homeowners. Any attempt to argue with its decrees is immediately met with a Federal Court Order. It is one of the burdens American business labors under that few other countries (and no emerging nations) have.

But how does this one man get the right and the power to dictate to us, to greatly increase our costs to live and work and travel. And when will Congress get off its ass and kick this dog back into it’s kennel, do we have to ask Putin to come over and do it for them?
