Media Lies (or it’s Sunday)

1. The selection of the seven countries for the travel ban is not based as the media has suggested on Trump’s business interests but was taken from the Obama’s administration listing of “Countries posing in extraordinary risk. “.

Given that the nations listed are either failed states with no trustworthy system for validating travelers, or openly hostile to the United States then isn’t this first  (wait! what do you mean…First?)  selection of travelers both fit and right?

2. Do gate guards and airport custom officers at the departure terminal in the nation these people fly out of do any more than check that a visa is required and that the visa held by the passenger was validly issued?  Is there any way of stopping these people from boarding other than a blanket inclusion onto the dreaded “No Fly List” or canceling their visas and making them start over from scratch?

Did any of these ‘Poor People’ filmed by the leftist media as ‘Victims’ stuck at the Airport (and whom we are supposed to feel sorry for) CALL the Embassy, consular office or US State Dept. before getting into a taxi to get to the departure airport?

3. Did any of the media ask any of the people involved question number two?

4.  Those passengers with green cards were not banned but detained briefly, questioned and verified.  A reasonable precaution. Given that green cards are mailed, (a mistake that needs rectifying), numbers of missing, fraudulent or erroneously issued green cards range from estimates of 6000 to 200,000 . With 19,000 as stated in a DHS Inspector General report.

5.  The executive order (…and did anyone in the media read it really?)  allows exceptions on a case by case basis by the State Department or DHS.  In other words, there is a reasonable process of appeal.

6.  No US passport travelers were barred from entry. But Dual nationality persons traveling on a friendly nation passport but who were citizens of one of the banned countries will be stopped (see point five) .  i.e.,  a person traveling with a British passport but actually a Syrian national .

7.  This travel ban is based on country of origin, NOT religion.  (Hopefully that will be fixed soon.)

I’d appreciate some comments on this, for one does this sound anything like the way the travel ban is being described or explained by the media.

Trump’s hard-nosed executive order asks what U.N. money is going for-and is it worth it?

The Trump Administration intends to take a hard-nosed approach to one of the frustrating mysteries left behind by the Obama Administration: Just exactly how much money does the U.S. give to the United Nations, what is the money going for—and is it worth it?

Parts of the draft order are evidently still in flux, but that topic has long been a focus of concern among conservatives and U.S. activists suspicious of the runaway implications of the U.N.’s expanding global bureaucracy, but also among reformers frustrated at unsuccessful U.S. and Western efforts to rein in U.N. spending and make it more transparent and accountable, even while the U.S. remains far and away the world body’s biggest single financial supporter.

Those frustrations were especially aggravated by the Obama Administration’s stealth approach to U.S. funding: no aggregated figures on U.S. support for the U.N. and its sprawling array of funds, programs and agencies since 2010, when the overall tally, which could well have been low-balled, was about $7.7 billion.

In a way, Obama drew the bulls-eye on the United Nations back when he engineered the vote to condemn Israel last year.  In one act the whole duplicitous charade of anti-democratic and anti-West mindsets and actions were highlighted.   Congratulations, you got The Donald’s attention.

The UN does very little good any more,  and huge amounts of money are regularly consumed with no accounting.  Too many poor (African) countries UN representatives become suddenly wealthy.

The best thing you can say about the vast amounts of American money that yearly disappears into the enormous cash box located at Turtle Bay NYC, is that at least the donations that go into numbered Swiss accounts don’t ‘directly’ go towards undermining the values and goals of The United States of America.

Trump promises ‘major investigation’ into alleged voter fraud

President Trump announced Wednesday that he will be asking for a “major investigation” into alleged nationwide voter fraud — a day after his press secretary was grilled on Trump’s claims that 3 million to 5 million people had voted illegally in November.

Trump announced the move on Twitter, and said the probe will focus on “those registered to vote in two states, those who are illegal and even those registered to vote who are dead (and many for a long time).”

Trump’s announcement comes a day after White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was forced to defend claims Trump had made at a private meeting with congressional leaders Monday that 3 million to 5 million people had illegally voted in the election.

As I’ve said before…and in this last election, I have personally observed the type of Blue State voter fraud that the Democrats use to ramp up their vote totals until they can claim they won ‘The Popular Vote’.

(I swear I wrote about this but can’t locate it!)   Prior to the last election I went down to the Town Hall to pick up my mother’s absentee ballot.  I got two surprises; one, she was now registered in the town her rehab facility was in and I wasn’t registered either.

In her case (since neither she or I had initiated a change) apparently the Rockland Town Clerk (D) had scoured the lists of residents of the Rehab and Nursing homes and (in bulk) transferred them all to Rockland with neither the individual or family being made aware of the change.  This was followed by said town clerk and a squad of ‘assistants’ descending on the facility prior to Nov. 8th with a box of ballots and the ‘assistants’ fanning out and ‘Helping’ and ‘Directing’ the old folks to fill out their ballots.   My mother, being formerly a poll worker in her home town, was one of the few that didn’t allow anyone to ‘help’ or watch as she filled out her ballot and she sealed it before she allowed anyone to touch it.  Whether that helped protect her vote, who knows?

In my case, after living in town for 32 years and even working the polls in the last election I was dropped from the rolls as an ‘Inactive Voter’.  Or as a voter who had an (I) after their name.

There are many kinds of Voter Fraud Mr. President.   Cast your net.

Undercover Project Veritas: Protesters Using Homeless To Block Streets During Inauguration?

Just a few comments from notes taken while watching today’s historic inauguration of President Donald J. Trump.

There was no Muslim Imam invited to deliver a prayer.

There was no gay or transgender  minister invited to deliver a prayer.

Chelsea Clinton and the Obama kids were not present in the audience. 

Melania Trump and the Trump family looked stunning.

There was noticeable steam emanating from the ears of Obama during Trump’s speech.

CNN and MSNBC had gleeful remarks regarding the lesser turnout of a crowd for this event compared to that of Obama’s back in 2009. No mention was made that for Obama, no conservatives threatened the safety of the crowds with riots, marches and demonstrations. The one today had the threats of violence, leading many to decide to watch from the safety of their homes. Of course, Obama had refused to admonish his followers to behave with dignity and respect and to refrain from intimidating those who would have attended the event. 

Without a doubt, this was the most pro-American, patriotic, stirring speech from an American President’s induction we have ever heard. He was straight with the people he evidently adores and wishes to defend and have prosper. He attempted to kiss no one’s butt. He owed no one in the VIP seats a thing. He lambasted the previous president who was sitting grim faced in his seat, hands folded in his lap. His talk was right to us, those sitting in our homes watching and listening. It was a promise from one who has never held elected office that he would take his job seriously, he would cater to no one and that he would strive to make America great again! What’s wrong with that? 

Post-inauguration statements from both CNN and MSNBC’s commentators:

“It was a radical event since there was no mention of gender rights.”

“Dark, too idealistic.”

“An over-reaction. No road to togetherness. A convention speech. No olive branch thrown to other side.”

“Obama has higher approval rating right now than Trump.’

“Too racial, America First is his cause.’

“Beijing and Moscow will love this speech.”

“He’s not healing the nation after a brutal presidential campaign.”

“Obama is leaving after two successful, scandal free terms. He was the best president, ever.”

“No reach out to Hillary.”

Since the schools no longer teach government to our kids I guess it’s up to the parents (if they can) or grandparents to explain how the world works successfully, and how to keep the country going.  This story makes me ill and sad for my country.

From an Oregon Resident:

While I was getting a coffee, I overheard 7 young people (22-26 years old, 5 males, 2 female) who have been protesting in downtown Portland the last two nights.

I told them I was doing research and asked nicely if they would answer some questions.  They were cool with it, so I sat down and went for it.

Three voted.  Of the four who didn’t, none was registered to vote.

None of them researched independently either candidate.

All were for Hillary but preferred Bernie.

Why the Democratic Candidate?

  • “More things are taken care of.”
  • “Time to have a woman President.”
  • “Democrats aren’t sexist or racist.”

Six of them live at home.

All are under their parents insurance.

Two have “real” jobs.

Three aren’t working, nor are they trying hard to find a job either.

Parents pay for everything in their life or subsidize it.

Six get money from mom or dad every month.

Two have been on unemployment for 6+ months.

One is at Portland State U, doesn’t work, and parents pay for everything.

All 7 said Trump is a racist/sexist.  I asked to cite proof … “That tape, man!”

When I asked, as a man myself, “Have you ever said anything like that when you’ve been hanging out with your buddies?   All five males said “Yes.”

Would you say it if you knew you were on tape?  All five answered “No.”

What’s the difference?  I asked.  “You’ve all said bad stuff like that.  Does

that mean you hate women and are a sexual predator?”  Nothing.  No answer.

None could tell me how our government works … they didn’t know how

laws are passed, how the House of Representatives or the Senate work.

None could explain how a bill is passed.

Only one could tell me the difference between legal and illegal immigration.

One of them said, “Legal immigration is when you immigrate legally.”  Seriously.

None could explain the purpose of the Electoral College or how it works.

In 10 minutes they felt they had explained everything.  Nice kids … but so ignorant.   I know some awesome, phenomenal young adults; but I’m afraid the majority are like these seven.  Too many participation trophies, too much coddling by parents and teachers.

In 1944 18 year olds stormed the beach at Normandy into almost certain death.

In 2016 18-year-olds feel unsafe because words hurt their feelings. This country is in deep do-do!

Twas the Night Before Inauguration!

Twas the night before Inauguration, and up in the tower,
The Donald reflected on his newfound power.
The conservative masses had come out in force,
And delivered a victory that would chart a new course.

The snowflakes were shell-shocked with tears in their eyes,
The media lied to them . . . What a surprise.
They had been promised a Hillary win,
But the criminal Clinton took one on the chin.

And though from all corners celebrities flew,
They made no impression, for they hadn’t a clue.
They talked about climate, racism, and such,
And they made up good stories . . . But didn’t know much.

The fake news and ignorance came at a cost,
And they can’t understand all the reasons they lost.
They blame it on Comey and Bernie and Vlad,
But fail to acknowledge the one that was bad.

Yes, Hillary Clinton, in many ways flawed,
Was her own biggest hurdle toward getting the nod.
The campaign exposed her corruptness and greed,
And her speeches were punch-less as ten dollar weed.

So out in the streets there arose such a clatter,
It was Soros-paid protestors and Black Lives Matter.
With cities to pillage and windows to smash,
They knew not the issues, but needed the cash.

Eight years of Obama had given them cause,
To expect a replacement of their Santa Claus.
But soon the protestors will feel the pain,
When the wheels fall off of the old gravy train.

And now all the snowflakes are riddled with fear,
Upset and offended by things that they’ll hear.
The cocoa and crayons will help for a while,
But fact-based opinions will soon cramp their style.

I originally supported, and voted, for Cruz,
In the end, I would vote for whoever they choose.
He wasn’t my first choice, but soon I would cede,
The one they call Trump is the one that we need.

I saw him on TV in front of a crowd,
He spoke about veterans, it made me feel proud.
He spoke about energy, safety, and jobs,
Taking this country back from the Washington snobs.

He was dressed in Armani, all tailored and neat,
And the Brunos he wore made the outfit complete.
For a man of his vintage, he seemed rather fit,
And he looked presidential, I have to admit.

His eyes glowed like embers, his smile was the best,
And his hair was the color of my old hunting vest.
His love for this country was on full display,
And his actions spoke louder than his words could say.

He thanked all his voters, and before he was gone,
Saved thousands of jobs while Obama looked on.
The fate of this country left nothing to chance,
So, he filled out his cabinet weeks in advance.

The men he had chosen were of the same mind,
Let’s set the bar high, and not lead from behind.
He picked up his phone as he rose from his seat,
With a flick of his finger, he sent out this tweet;

“Now Mattis!, now Kelly!’ now Sessions! And Pruitt!
On Perry! On Flynn, You’re the ones who can do it.
Start lifting restrictions and building the wall,
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!”;

The roar of his audience rose from the stands,
He kissed all their babies and shook all their hands.
He answered their questions and calmed all their fears,
They knew it would be a fantastic four years.

Then he jumped in his limo, and off to his jet,
A fellow that Liberals won’t soon forget.
He sent one more tweet as the evening expired;
“Happy Inauguration to all,
AND OBAMA – YOU’RE FIRED!”

Back in the Kennedy era there was a joke… “An American said to a Russian, in America we have free speech, I can say in public Fuck Kennedy!”
The Russian said to the American, “In Russia we also have same freedom, I can stand in Red Square and say Fuck Kennedy!”.

Today a Russian can still stand in public and curse the American president, but a American would have to fear standing in Times Square and doing the same.

America’s Military Has a Big Problem: It’s Dead Broke

“We’re broke.” In essence, that’s the message Deputy Secretary of Defense Bob Work delivered to Defense-Secretary-in-Waiting James Mattis at the December 5 Future Strategy Forum.

Military leaders have testified to the problems caused by five straight years of budget cuts and how these cuts, combined with an extraordinarily high operational tempo, have resulted in a smaller, less capable military force.

What has received less attention is the degree to which the Pentagon’s future plans bank on questionable assumptions and budgetary sleight-of-hand to balance the books for 2018 and beyond. These gimmicks include: relying on rosy future estimates for the cost of labor, fuel and currency exchange; pushing the costs of large modernization programs like the nuclear triad into the ill-defined “out years,” and using Overseas Contingency Operations funds to help cover normal DoD operating costs. Taken together, these liabilities, combined with the administration’s decision to submit budgets in excess of the Budget Control Act caps, constitute about $100 billion dollars per year of unbudgeted liabilities or risk—a staggering sum that will severely limit the new administration’s ability to quickly rebuild the U.S. military.

A Nevada woman dies of a superbug resistant to every available antibiotic in the US

The case involved a woman who had spent considerable time in India, where multi-drug-resistant bacteria are more common than they are in the US. She had broken her right femur — the big bone in the thigh — while in India a couple of years back. She later developed a bone infection in her femur and her hip and was hospitalized a number of times in India in the two years that followed. Her last admission to a hospital in India was in June of last year.

Johnson said it’s likely, though, that other people in the US are carrying similar bacteria in their guts and could become sick at some point. “It’s possible that this is the only person in the US and she had the bad luck to go to India, pick up the bad bug, come back and here it is, we found her and now that she’s dead, it’s gone from the US. That is highly improbable,” he said.

“People have asked me many times ‘How scared should we be?’ … ‘How close are we to the edge of the cliff?’ And I tell them: We’re already falling off the cliff,” Johnson said. “It’s happening. It’s just happening — so far — on a relatively small scale and mostly far away from us. People that we don’t see … so it doesn’t have the same emotional impact.’’
