Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded -- here and there, now and then -- are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as "bad luck." -- Robert A. Heinlein
That’s a beautiful cat. Merry Christmas, John.

I hope he’s a good one. We just lost the best one my bride has ever owned and believe me, there have been plenty. He was my buddy and had all the great qualities and none of the bad ones. I believe he might have been attacked and partially consumed by a fox out back on the south forty.
It’s going to be a lonely winter without him keeping me warm while I take my naps. We were lucky to have him for about 12 years.
His photo is now my computer’s background photo. And I don’t even like cats!
RIP, Camo. Cherish Max. Merry Christmas.
