Are we really having a Serious Conversation, when Normal world wide death rate is around 110 per minute? You’re wearing a mask & I am not. Does your mask not work? I choose to wear a mask, you choose not, where do I get off expecting you to Have to?
I choose to not wear a mask working in a public store (I’d take my chances), but my employer demands I wear one to cover their ass from liability, both from customers, employees, or the government threat to fine or shut down.
Where does it end? It Doesn’t. Somebody has figured out how to destroy the world economy, this time without firing a shot. Still doesn’t change that 110 number (unless it naturally leads to population decline, (which it should)).
Guess life was good while it lasted.

I did not watch the video yet, will watch it later. I saw the headline / title and as it happens, I watched several segments of a documentary called “Apocaplypse WWI” last night on TV. There is a lot I did not know about The Great War. For example, the war extended into Africa to the German and Belgian colonies to sap strength from the European theater. Also, the Ottoman Turks got their asses kicked when they tried to invade Russia via the caucuses – they lost something like 70,000 and the political leadership blamed the Armenians to save face, resulting in the Armenian genocide.
Anyway my point is this – 1914 to 1918 – after the first few million deaths the political leaders could not bring themselves to admit they had made any type of mistake and could not find a way to stop the continued, senseless killing for it had become about revenge for the first few million deaths, not any longer about geopolitical boundaries. Hubris and bravado on the part of the leaders played a huge part in continuing the killing. It was only after their economies were wrecked and their ability to continue fighting was exhausted, did they find a way to stop. The USA came out on top because we were late to get started, and we manufactured a lot of the armaments. The USA economy survived. A lot of parallels to today, when the leaders can’t admit they made huge mistakes in over-reacting to what amounts to a bad flu season. It will not end until our economies are completely wrecked again I fear. Then there will be more political revolution hopefully of the peaceful sort.
Only this time, the USA economy will not survive. China still has trillions of US $ in reserve. You can make your own forecasts as to what might happen in the next several years.

The US economy was coming back under Donald Trump, I doubt it can survive Biden/(especially)Harris.
They dumped the economy in 2008 to elect Obozo, then didn’t know how to get it working again.
When the sheeple begin to baa about the way things are going then I’m sure the Uni-party will be happy to start a few wars to stimulate the military-industrial complex.
Wearing face diapers will be the least of our problems.
