First taste of winter, Ice!

And so cold that three days after the ice storm there is still ice on the branches of the trees in spite of the Sun.

    • A history on this storm. First a piddling little bit of snow fell, between two and three inches during the night. Then it switched over to rain quickly, very quickly. Then it mixed or at times changed to sleet and freezing rain.
And then the temperature dropped, really dropped, to two or three degrees within six hours a thirty degree drop. That flash froze everything.
The snow blower was useless, there was so much water in the snow that when I stepped in the snow the footprint filled with water immediately. It was like stepping in a bucket of water. So I just drove down to the street and back to form a track to keep the tires straight after it turned to ice. (My driveway is Texas sized, 350 feet to the street with a another fifty foot turnaround behind the house. And dirt.)

And I still have stitches in my finger from hand surgery last week.
