The cooler and wiser heads among the Democrats know this and they are terrified that these thuggish antics (which they are responsible for fomenting) are going to backfire badly.

I can assure you that Chuck Schumer would love to shove Maxine Water´s wig down her throat. Schumer knows she is an ignorant old cleaning lady who has no business in Congress (she is unfortunately an accurate reflection of her constituents) but until now she was useful for stirring up those on the south side of a 70 IQ.

Now she is a serious threat to the Democrats.
