Ever wonder why so many people kill themselves at this time of year (No, don’t worry).
One problem is that we need a funner and happier holiday in January. I mean, MLK day? Really?
Are you ready for ‘ Blue Monday ’ ? Today is the gloomiest day of the year
Christmas is over, New Year is over and all you have to look forward to is Valentine’s day – great times.
It only seems natural that Monday January 19 is described by experts as the unhappiest day of 2015.
Dubbed Blue Monday, this apex of gloominess is thought to be caused by multiple factors: miserable weather, broken resolutions post-Christmas debt and weight anxieties.
From the comments over at InstaPundit; “and the next day we get that F*^& idiot giving the State Of The Union address…”, “The Christmas bills are sitting on the kitchen table”, “Good lord. I thought it was just me.”, “Also the media coverage is relentlessly negative on MLK Day. Sixteen hours of racial guilt-mongering.”, and “STFU!”.
I thought my comment was helpful;
Actually any bets how much longer this “holiday” lasts? I was in a crowded elevator yesterday and someone mentioned that no mail delivery meant no bills on Monday. No one knew what he was talking about until he said “Martin Luther King Day”. Oh! Right!
We’ll have to wait until the first Latino President to get rid of it. After all, Cinco De Mayo is already a much bigger holiday. Swap (them out)!
Excuse me, I’m going to see if I can find the Elvis movie “Blue Hawaii” in the library.
