Another brick on the Wall? UPDATE

Massachusetts SWAT teams claim they’re private corporations, immune from open records laws

Hiding behind the argument that they are private corporations not subject to the public records laws, the LECs have refused to provide documents regarding their SWAT team policies and procedures. They have also failed to disclose anything about their operations, including how many raids they have executed or for what purpose . . .

METROLEC, one of the largest of the law enforcement councils covering the metropolitan Boston area, operates a range of specialized resources, including a Canine Unit, Computer Crimes Unit, Crisis Negotiation Team, Mobile Operations Motorcycle Unit, and Regional Response Team, in addition to its SWAT force. The organization maintains its own BearCat armored vehicle, as well as a $700,000 state of the art command and control post. In 2012, METROLEC reportedly used its BearCat 26 times, mostly for drug busts, and applied to the Federal Aviation Administration to obtain a drone license.

Lets see.  Most of the crime in the NorthEast is by unacculturated  recent immigrants or career criminals who benefit from the “revolving door” justice system created by progressive judges (especially in Massachusetts).   For this they “need” tanks and drones and gun control?

Since they pay the “Dues” of the individual members with public money taken from their individual police departments I expect they will lose this case and if they haven’t already ceased recording their meetings I suspect they will stop doing so very soon.  That’s a pity. I’d like to listen in while they talk among themselves and get a reading on what they think of us, the people, the citizens who live in their towns. Do they have any respect for the people they “Serve” or have we truly become either $ or targets.

Here’s what worries me and I suspect many others in this “People’s Republic” of Massachusetts; new draconian gun laws in the pipeline right now (that will only effect the law-biding), last years terrifying sight of heavily armored vehicles with SWAT officers pointing powerful guns at people in their homes, weapons that could have easily passed through the walls of more than one house and killed any number of innocents.    A callous attitude towards the rights, safety and dignity of the citizens of this state I call that.

UPDATE:

A SWAT team blew a hole in my 2-year-old son (UPDATE)

That’s right: Officers threw a flashbang grenade in my son’s crib — and left a hole in his chest. It gets worse…

That minivan was sitting in the front driveway of my sister-in-law’s place the night a SWAT team broke in, looking for a small amount of drugs they thought my husband’s nephew had. Some of my kids’ toys were in the front yard, but the officers claimed they had no way of knowing children might be present. Our whole family was sleeping in the same room, one bed for us, one for the girls, and a crib.

After the SWAT team broke down the door, they threw a flashbang grenade inside. It landed in my son’s crib.

Flashbang grenades were created for soldiers to use during battle. When they explode, the noise is so loud and the flash is so bright that anyone close by is temporarily blinded and deafened. It’s been three weeks since the flashbang exploded next to my sleeping baby, and he’s still covered in burns.

I think that the public in this case has a right to know if tossing a flashbang into a private residence in the dead of night is something they train to do.   Don’t you?  A callous attitude towards the rights, safety and dignity of the citizens …or not?

Recently I got dropped from the voting rolls of my town.  I have religiously voted in every election,  I haven’t moved or changed my address,  I still receive and pay all my bills especially those related to my residence in this town.  But what I didn’t do, deliberately, was to respond to an annual “Town Census”.   Though flawed and misused by the current Regime,  the ten year Federal Census has a legal basis and serves a useful and necessary purpose.   The town census makes me feel like property being inventoried.  While the Federal Census may be (or not under the Regime)  generally safe on privacy issues, I have no such faith in a town census.  Do I wish to report to perhaps disclose the number and age of my infirm and vulnerable female relations I may (or may not) be providing shelter for?  As for voting, get real, this is Massachusetts and my choices are Tweedle-Dum or Tweedle-Dummer.  Except of course now I have a reason to go to the polls, to vote against every single member of the town government.  In fact I shall look up and seek out the best opponent of the current Mayor (the fat, female Democrat) and put my money and my time towards their success.  A callous attitude towards the rights, safety and dignity of the citizens of this state…Indeed!
