Would that include Fencing? Yes.

Why is Biden withholding funding for schools with archery and hunting programs?

According to a recent report from Fox News, the White House is blocking federal funding for public schools that have hunting and archery programs for students. The excuse they are offering is that a provision in the Democrats’ “Bipartisan Safer Communities Act” last year precludes federal funding for public schools with these programs.

As noted above, the BSCA was promoted as a way to make public facilities, including schools, safer and to reduce violence. Nothing about archery or hunting was mentioned anywhere in the legislation. The portion being cited by the White House as justification for withholding the funding wasn’t even included in the original bill. An amendment tacked on at the end included an exception that would withhold funding to schools that “provide any person with a dangerous weapon or provide training in the use of a dangerous weapon.”

The peasants in Medieval Europe were also forbidden to possess or bear weapons.  As the saying goes,  “An unarmed man is a subject,  A armed man is a citizen”.

Sadly, that scheme is already working in a broad fashion. There are nearly 9,000 schools across the country that still offer hunter safety and archery classes. But many of them have already reported that they are curtailing those classes in the next semester in order to avoid losing their funding. So this shadow attack from the Democrats is working as intended.

Gotta do something to stop all those assaults and robberies committed with criminals armed with bow and arrows or threats of bodily harm made at swords point.  As for hunting programs,  “No killing the Kings Bidens deer!”.

Just what we need, another scandal.

All of these issues contradict published stories by the regular media.  Big surprise, I know.

Quote of the day.

“Conservatives never expect the federal government to actually be functional. Heck, most of the time I don’t even want it to be functional. The Biden administration is, for the most part, criminally dysfunctional, which nobody needs.”

More detail on rejected Hunter deal.

Sol Wisenberg
@WisenbergSol
This just in: The judge won’t accept the proposed plea deal at least for now. Some thoughts: Now we know why DOJ didn’t show us the plea agreement terms. What didn’t they want us to know ahead of time?
A) a global immunity deal for Hunter;
B) A binding plea (that is, the judge must accept the specific terms if she accepts the agreement);
C) Misdemeanor probation;
D) Other unusual plea terms:
1. A global immunity deal for Hunter while the overall investigation is “ongoing”, is stunning—a super-sweetheart deal.
2. A binding plea is extremely unusual in the vast majority of federal jurisdictions. It means for example, that if the agreement calls for probation the judge must give Hunter probation. It is binding.
3. That the prosecution and defense would disagree about the terms of the agreement in open court is a joke.
Ambiguous terms in a plea agreements are construed against the government! There should be no room for disagreement on the key terms of the agreement. So, this was either astounding incompetence or corruption on DOJ’s part. I think it is corruption. This looks like a wink and a nod deal (as @shipwreckedcrew has noted)
where DOJ would have plausible deniability if the judge asked no questions and accepted the deal.
The scope of immunity is the most important feature of a plea deal. It is inconceivable that the prosecutors were incompetent here. Leo Wise has an excellent reputation for competence.
4. Think about this. DOJ was about to sanction a plea deal where Hunter would get misdemeanor probation on serious tax charges plus pretrial diversion (no time served or criminal record) on the felony gun charge. Hunter would also get complete immunity on all other charges. And he would not have to cooperate with the government’s ongoing investigation.
Totally disgraceful. Merrick Garland and David Weiss should be ashamed. And where is Lisa Monaco? Why hasn’t she been called to testify?

Surprising.

Hunter Biden’s sweetheart plea deal on gun, tax charges torpedoed by judge in sensational court room dust up

First son Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty to federal tax and gun charges Wednesday, a dramatic about-face after his wrist-slap, probation-only plea deal fell apart Wednesday over his demand for blanket immunity from accountability for all criminal conduct — including alleged illegal foreign lobbying.

The stunning turn of events came more than 90 minutes into the hearing at the federal courthouse in Wilmington, Del., where Hunter was expected to plead guilty to two misdemeanor counts of willful failure to pay taxes and enter a diversion program on a felony federal weapons charge.

How would you like to be the White House aide that gets to tell ‘uncle Joe’ that the fix fell through?

Writers strike

I stole this…

NONTRANSFERABLE NON-SKILLS

The writers who created the race-over-quality crap that’s bankrupting the studios now want the cash-strapped studios to pay more for the very content that made them cash-strapped in the first place.

Last week Deadline reported that the studios have decided to break the writers. Starve ’em. There’ll be no negotiations until Halloween, because by then the writers will be broke after six months of unemployment. The studios will then say, “Winter’s coming…still wanna play hardball?”

So now, in an effort to subvert that strategy, writers are looking for work—any work—to keep money in their pockets. Problem is, the real world has little use for their “particular set of skills.”

Lumber Yard Manager: “Damn, this new shipment of Hemlock’s got ring shake. Hey, new guy—any ideas?”

Writer: “Let’s have a black woman walk through the lumberyard looking noble. She’ll stare straight ahead with the dignity of a thousand queens. From her very soul she fights passionately for justice. Is she perfect? No. Sometimes she cares too much.”

Manager: “You’re fired.”

IHOP Manager: “Hey, idiot, that’s the fifth order you’ve botched. Didn’t you watch the training video?”

Writer: “Yes, and I rewrote it to star a transgender Ghanaian in the lead.”

Manager: “Christ, I shoulda hired a Mexican.”

Museum Owner: “Hey, night janitor…you Sharpied the faces in the paintings black!”

Writer: “Yep! Now the museum’s diverse.”

Owner: “Those were Rembrandts; we’re ruined!”

Writer: “Gimme a raise.”

Gen Z cries ‘time blindness’: Is being late a real medical condition?

Being chronically late isn’t just rude or inconvenient — it’s now considered a medical condition.

A number of medical experts have labeled the condition “time blindness” and associated it with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder or other mental health issues.

And while there are strategies and therapies that can help, a few people who say they have the condition insist on being accommodated.

Now, a young woman on TikTok has been ridiculed for asking during a job interview “are there accommodations for people who struggle with time blindness and being on time?”

“So if you’re supposed to get paid on the 1st but the company struggles with time blindness pays you on the 30th? Is that okay?

Good… Grief.

I’m tired of workers’ rights not being prioritized in this country. And we’re entitled for suggesting it should be different… I don’t think so. #workersrights #employeerights #workers #capitalismsucks #capitalism #thesystemisbroken #fyp
