Forgotten Americans

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is using her increasingly influential voice and a new book to double down on the MAGA view that the Jan. 6 Capitol riots were influenced by anti-Trump anarchists and that those arrested and still in jail are political prisoners.

In a chapter about the event shared with Secrets, the lawmaker wrote, “Please let me remind you that these weren’t people convicted of violent crimes; they were pre-trial, convicted of nothing! In America, we are innocent until proven guilty, but these people were being held as though they’d already been convicted of violent crimes in a trial. I thought this kind of politicization and unusual cruelty only happened in places like Russia or China or some totalitarian regime. The January 6 defendants’ treatment was absolutely sickening!”

Another issue, perhaps the biggest one, where the inaction and silence of the GOP is telling.

Showing Biden’s true colors.

Biden To Demand “Humanitarian” Ceasefires as Israel Encircles Gaza City

—Disinformation Expert Ace

Read Ed Morrissey’s article for details of the IDF’s invasion of Gaza, and its encirclement of Hamas’s main stronghold, Gaza City.

Just as the IDF is ready to begin rooting Hamas out of their terrorist snakepits, Biden declares that it’s time for “humanitarian pauses” to permit Hamas terrorists to escape.

I mean, to “get hostages out” and bring in food for the poor Hamas-supporting Palestinians.

Remember what we all said about Biden pretending to take Israel’s side in public so that he could restrain them privately? They even leaked to Axios that that was exactly what they were doing, to reassure their pro-terrorist left that they weren’t really trying to protect those awful New York Money Men from genocide.

Well, now Biden has even given up on supporting Israel publicly (though insincerely).

Now he just wants to protect those peace-lovin’ Palestinians.

Exhibit A.

Exhibit B.

American Media has taken a side.

ACE: They can’t have the public knowing that Hamas has already announced that it doesn’t matter what Israel does, they will proceed with genocidal terrorist attacks until every Jew is dead.

So they just straight-up refused to report this.

One weird exception– NBC mentioned it briefly but did not comment on what this means for the “two state solution” and “peace process.”

Foreign news outlets certainly have covered it. Newspapers from the UK, Canada, India, and others (especially Israel, of course) have given Hamad’s declaration major coverage. So why have American media refrained from reporting on it? It’s not just that they’re pushing it to page A32, but that they aren’t reporting on it at all, even though it directly and unequivocally provides the necessary context to this war. It would be akin to major newspapers reporting that Britain and France declared war on Germany in September 1939 without reporting the invasion of Poland or Hitler’s demand for Lebensraum. The only conclusion one can reach for this exclusion is that American media have taken the side of Hamas in this fight. They don’t want to inform Americans about the real stakes of this war, and that it’s not about Gaza, the West Bank, or East Jerusalem, or even the rogue settlements. They know that it’s about the annihilation of Israel and the Jews — but they don’t want you to know it.

They have chosen sides, and it’s the side of the terrorists.

Claims that there is no Democrat Election Fraud are bunk.

Two NJ Democrats are charged in the 2020 election; a laundry list of reasons not to use mail-in voting.

Before the May 2020 election, in which Mendez was running for city council, he allegedly collected many mail-in ballots from households over several days in violation of state law, according to the attorney general’s office. While New Jersey law allows a “bearer” to return a completed ballot for a voter, candidates in elections are not allowed to collect and return ballots for the voters in the district of the race they are running in.

According to Platkin’s office, Mendez’s campaign allegedly collected ballots that were not sealed by voters and examined them at the campaign headquarters to see if they were cast for Mendez. Ballots that were not cast for Mendez were allegedly destroyed and replaced with a ballot for him. The replacement ballots were allegedly stolen from voters’ mailboxes.

One of Mendez’s associates allegedly took ballots from mailboxes in areas that were known to have many supporters of Mendez’s opponent, the attorney general’s office said. Also, if voters turned over ballots that were incomplete, Mendez’s campaign workers would allegedly complete them.

Derek Chauvin was a political prosecution.

Court docs reveal ‘extreme’ public pressure on prosecutors in George Floyd case

According to the deposition of a former Hennepin County prosecutor, the county’s medical examiner told her in a phone call that there “were no medical indications of asphyxia or strangulation.”

During her deposition, Sweasy also discussed a revealing conversation she said she had the day after Floyd’s death when she asked Hennepin County Medical Examiner Dr. Andrew Baker about the autopsy.

“I called Dr. Baker early that morning to tell him about the case and to ask him if he would perform the autopsy on Mr. Floyd,” she explained.

“He called me later in the day on that Tuesday and he told me that there were no medical findings that showed any injury to the vital structures of Mr. Floyd’s neck. There were no medical indications of asphyxia or strangulation,” Sweasy said, according to the transcript.

“He said to me, ‘Amy, what happens when the actual evidence doesn’t match up with the public narrative that everyone’s already decided on?’ And then he said, ‘This is the kind of case that ends careers.’”

Derek Chauvin is an innocent man.  I don’t understand why he is still in prison.

The linked story indicates that several attorneys with the Prosecutors office resigned rather than charge Chauvin and the other officers,  I never heard that little detail before.  That’s on the media.

True for someone I know.

Bad grammar causes actual physical distress in others, study reveals.

Your going to want to read this.

New research finds that when people are subjected to poor grammar, it actually causes them stress — and even initiates a “fight or flight” response.

A lack of proper speech or penmanship sets off several triggers within the automatic nervous system (ANS) — a network that controls the body’s unconscious processes — according to the University of Birmingham.

Heart rate variability — or HRV, which measures the time in between beats — was used as the primary metric to determine how linguistic liabilities impact a person’s physical being.

When relaxed, HRV is commonly less regimented — and it only becomes regular during times of stress, researchers noted.

The more grammatical errors a person heard coincided with the strict regularity of their heartbeat, an indication of stress.

Hearing or reading those cringeworthy errors triggers two (not to or too) pieces of the ANS that are known as the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.

“Simply put, the sympathetic nervous system activates the ‘fight or flight’ response during a threat or perceived danger, while the parasympathetic nervous system controls the ‘rest and digest’ or ‘feed and breed’ functions of the body,” principal study investigator Dagmar Divjak said.

“Our findings show that [the ANS], too, responds to cognitive demands, and this suggests that cognitive effort reverberates through the physiological system in more ways than previously thought.”

Just over a decade ago, researchers at the University of Illinois commonly connected grammar sticklers to having a form of OCD called Grammatical Pedantry Syndrome. The brain activity of the verbal buffs showed similarities to obsessive-compulsive behavior.

“The results of this study bring into focus a new dimension of the intricate relationship between physiology and cognition,” Divjak said. “The relation between language cognition and the autonomic nervous system has so far received less attention.”

Now, the latest report looks to further pursue evidence that words matter — and may actually hurt us.

“This study provides us with a new method for tapping into aspects of cognition that are not directly observable,” the professor added. “This is particularly valuable in work with language users who are unable to verbally express their opinion due to young or old age, or ill health.”
