UNC Greeks defend the Flag.

Guillermo Estrada, a student at the university, wrote about his experiences in an incredibly powerful thread. Here’s his recounting of what happened:

…but it upset me that my country’s flag was disrespected in order to advocate for another.

Shortly after, Chancellor Roberts came with police officers to hang the flag once again. They were met with profanity, middle fingers, thrown bottles, rocks, and water.

When the flag was raised once again, the greek community began singing the National anthem. As the Chancellor left, the quad erupted into chaos as protestors began removing the flag once again, preparing to destroy it.

My fraternity brother and others ran over to hold it up, in order for it not to touch the ground. People began throwing water bottles at us, rocks, sticks, calling us profane names. We stood for an hour defending the flag so many fight to protect.

My parents started a new life in the United States, a country that has helped them flourish and raise two kids. I grew up in a Military community and saw first hand the sacrifices they make. I will not stand for the disrespect these “protestors” cause for the sake of another country.

My LDOC will be memorable in knowing that my fraternity brothers and others fought to keep the flag up. But it was also be memorable in knowing that so many yearn to disrespect it.

While Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower had studied his World War II enemy, he was unprepared for the Nazi brutality he witnessed at Ohrdruf concentration camp in April 1945. Bodies were piled like wood and living skeletons struggled to survive. Even as the Allied Forces continued their fight, Eisenhower foresaw a day when the horrors of the Holocaust might be denied. He invited the media to document the scene. He compelled Germans living in the surrounding towns and any soldier not fighting at the front to witness the atrocities for themselves.

 

Even with photographic and video evidence, it only took days for people to deny the horrors of Oct. 7.  Watch it, if you can.

Annual Massachusetts Outmigration Hits 39,000, Up 1,100% Over The Last Decade: BU Study

Could rise to 96,000 per year by 2030, costing Massachusetts $19.2 billion in adjusted gross income & $961 million in income tax revenue

“To make matters worse, those who are leaving tend to be younger and earn more than state averages,” said Boston University Questrom School of Business primary researcher and lecturer Mark Williams. “These are the people the Commonwealth needs to bolster its future workforce.”

The age group leaving in the largest numbers is 26-34, although most of the lost AGI comes from the departures of those aged 55-64. More than half of people who exited Massachusetts earn well over the state average.

Income tax, housing costs, and costs of health care are the largest drivers of outmigration, according to the study. The 11 states to which Massachusetts lost the bulk of its departing residents all scored better in those categories. Eight of the 11 states scored better in housing burden (the proportion of household income allocated to housing costs).

Let me add for the benefit of a frequent commenter, that those that leave are also better looking and smarter… happy now?

Disband the Republican Party

The time to end the Republican party is now, right now. I don’t care that it’s right before an election. As if elections meant anything and if they don’t, it’s because of the Republican party. The Republican party refused to take election tampering seriously. They were the ones who refused to take these cases to court, despite the overwhelming evidence of election interference, looking the other way when presented with voter fraud. If the Republican party cannot defend the rights of its constituents, but merely act as adjunct Democrats, the party should be abolished and reconstituted with those who recognize the dangers of unlimited debt, runaway inflation and a world turning away from the dollar as a prime reserve currency and the medium for purchasing petroleum.

The GOP is never going to get any better, all they do is put a rubber stamp on the criminal activity of the Congress.   The part of the Republican Party that is actually working for us is a very small percentage.

The Patriots Day “Holiday”, for those in some states and countries who are not familiar with the observance (as of this year) the 237th anniversary of the Battles of Concord and Lexington and the beginning of the American Revolution. The actual date of these events is April 19th, 1776.  Making this another important historical date that has fallen prey to The Monday Holiday Law (I have no idea or interest what the real title of this turkey of a idea is.) So this is the earliest date that Patriots Day falls on, and April 21st is the latest. (…One nation, at the shopping centers, with early opening, with free stuff for all.)

Since it either falls on Tax Day, or in the neighborhood, a number of protest groups are usually active.  (The Marathon, did I forget to mention the Boston Marathon?) One in particular, The conservative Tea Party anti-tax/anti-big government group is the only one I’m going to talk about now.  In 2009 the first Tea Party protest on the Boston Common occurred in the middle of the week, on a clear and cool day. In front of the Massachusetts State House several thousand citizens showed up who were alarmed at the direction the new administration was taking the country. Frightening to realize that was only four years and six or seven trillion dollars ago.  I had broken my leg (first broken bone in my life) five weeks earlier, but was back at work at the Bank of America building in the financial district. From there to Beacon Hill and the State House rally was all (ALL!) uphill. On crutches. With a backpack full of camera equipment.

No comparison to the Occupy scumbags a couple of years later. Also no comparison to the wealth of TV and newspaper coverage they received, heavily edited to shield the sheeple from the truth and the filth, and the obscene words and behavior.

Update: In 2024 Patriots Day once again fell on a Monday, once again a Democrat is President and once again the country on on it’s back.
