Tom & Ray Magliozzi / Car Talk
Dear Tom and Ray:
My daughter lives in Anchorage, Alaska. She is a Wisconsin transplant who still believes her father (me) can help with anything.
Love these guys.
Pembroke at 300: Happy Birthday to you…
The town of Pembroke Massachusetts was settled from the Plimoth Colony in 1712. In those early colonial days, the legal right to found a town came from establishing a town church, so the First Church in Pembroke was not just the 1st church of this or that, but the First Church and the center of town, its reason for being. This is why so many of the local and state roads seem to make such close passes by this and so many other Congregational Churches in New England. All roads lead to the Church. I’ve been to Brunswick ME at Christmas, there is a lovely old Congregational Church there. But there is barely a sidewalk on some sides as various state roads and highways pass it by on all sides.
Anyway in Pembroke next week, a party, with cake.
In the mean time make sure you mark your calendars; March 21st at 6 p.m. and if you should require any further information about the Birthday party or any of the myriad of activities and celebrations to mark the town’s 300th, feel free to visit the website at http://www.Pembroke300.com and while your online check out our Facebook page and like us!
Who is Sunny? I don’t know but she’s a riot.
Barack Obama Stops Wearing American Flag Pin
Is anybody making a lapel pin out of this?…That he would probably wear.
Seriously, look at that thing. Has it occurred to anyone that this was probably made initially as a joke?
That the Florida Democrats ran it up the flagpole, now that is a riot. But it’s not a issue.
Finally, EAT THE RICH!!!
