Who’s popular? Who’s unpopular?

Both candidates have ‘High Negatives’ we are told.

And if Hillary is the most unpopular then Trump is close behind with higher unfavorables than Romney or McCain.  Tisk, tisk!

Is that true?  And at this point, does it matter?   My observation would be that even the Liberals don’t deny that all Media are biased in favor of the Democrats in general and Hillary’s campaign in particular, in addition to being fervently (rabidly?) against Mr. Donald Trump.  Considering that this ‘Campaign’ has been going on for about two years with constant negative stories (what I call the heyday of American Political Fiction writing) about Mr. Trump.    It would be remarkable if at this point most American voters couldn’t clearly recall a moment when they responded to some bit of slime or innuendo directed at Mr. Trump.   The clear goal of this is to combat Hillary’s sour image with equivalency.  Trump is just as Bad!

Equally, Sec. Clinton has been lauded, held up as a paragon of virtue, ability and courage.  (pardon me….gag, gag, hack!)  Those Americans who no longer depend on MSM for their news or event analysis have glanced at the flayed edges and weak foundations of Hillarys heroic edifice, but still can’t be entirely sure that, in fact, there isn’t something heroic there.

So, taking that all into account.   Why does Hillary Clinton even have equivalent negative ratings, let alone higher?  After the non-stop years of attacks and disapproval by near every major writer, columnist and PR hack; why isn’t Mr. Trump held in total opprobrium by the majority of the American voters?

Is it that Mrs. Clinton is too obviously damaged and Mr. Trump doesn’t really seem to be that bad?  Is Hillary Rodman Clinton like a Halloween yard gargoyle with a leak, held up only by increasing the pressure of the hot air.  Is Mr. Trump too obviously  not like his caricature and that is why the constant mudslinging is necessary.

I hope you are like me, waiting for the noise to abate and the smoke and mirrors to be set aside.  Then we will see clearly.   Unfortunately, before that happens, we must vote.
